    hmmm

Sulked, dived, pushed a linesman, gave up on challenges, and then, off camera, supposedly begged to be subbed with ten minutes to go.

Absolutely. My interpretation of that is that it is more aimed at the media endlessly hyping them up this week as “back”, as opposed to being about the team itself.

Ah yeah I get you. I don’t believe shit that the media has written. We’re “back” in that we look like a mostly competent team with a good manager, but all that talk about a title challenge or anything is ridiculous. Really, too 4 and the carabao cup is what we would have been aiming for at the start of the season. If we get that it’s been a successful season, anything more would be a massive achievement. We’re still a year or two behind where City are or even yourselves. Days like today sting, but considering where we were this time last year, I’ll take the result alongside the massive strides we’ve taken as a team.

I laughed the whole game. I’m a Man U supporter. Definitely played out like a video game of FIFA circa 2007 with inertia/favor ability all in favor of Liverpool.

The ball just kept popping up in the right place and every LIV player had a magic touch when needed. Made me nostalgic for the video game actually haha.

Been thinking about this season, and how much pressure there is on Arsenal, and how tense we’re all feeling.

More than anything, I’m just trying to enjoy it. We’re ace, we’re young, we’re likeable, and we’re full of energy and passion. We’re EXACTLY what other clubs want their teams to be. Somehow we have gone from a team of players who didn’t give a shit, to this.

And maybe we won’t win it. The truth is that I’m less confident of it happening than I would admit. After all, we have a tough run in.

But regardless of what happens, I wished for days like these. And I haven’t enjoyed watching us this much, whether that be in TV or at the stadium, probably ever.

A few thoughts on the EPL season so far, which may echo others thoughts (I'm not in here much).

    - As a Leeds fan, I'm scared. The bottom of the table is so tight. I have a feeling that there will be another miracle with a new coach after struggling and then the same thing next year... We'll continually be the club that starts poor, hires a miracle man and then rinse and repeat.
    - I did not expect yesterdays crazy game... Wow, just wow. How do Man Utd respond and do they let slip their title challenge or do they finish strong as a 'close' contender?
    - Sorry to any Arsenal fans who don't want to hear this, and will be mad I am jinxing you, but I believe it's your year. So much grit and determination and just an all around likeable squad that is just playing far more than the sum of its parts.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

Arsenal are gonna win the league because they are gifted an extra two minutes of stoppage to secure the goal.

It was the same when Liverpool won the league.

Everyone has it out for Man City.

    /s

I'm like half serious though. Being able to SCORE that goal when stoppage time is extended is usually reserved for teams that get the "luck" needed to win a title.

Seen that mentioned a lot and on the surface, this seems fair and I get it being questioned. I’d do the same. However, it’s a minimum number, and Bournemouth wasted the first two minutes feigning an injury. It was excellent refereeing.

Also we were denied five (yes, five) big handball penalty shouts. So it’s not like the refs were helping us lol.

But you’re right, it’s good signs. Just don’t mention our April fixtures…

It really feels like human refs are intentionally sabotaging VAR in England.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I don't like wearing a tin foil hat, but I've thought this multiple times over the last 18 months. Some of the decisions are just so egregiously non-sensical that it either has to be a statement by the VAR officials on the current rules not making sense with VAR, or them just trying to fuck it up. Like, some of the things we've seen (some of the angles selected to show the refs on the replays, for example) just don't feel like they can be mistakes. Feels like there has to be some ego or malice in some of it.

  20. Looks like both sides, Conte and the club, are ready to move on. It’s been inevitable for months. If we lose tomorrow, we should just part ways and get it over with. Apparently a large chunk of players are ready to move on as well. I just don’t see the need to keep him here until May.

Poch was heavily talked about in the article. The main concern with him seems to be Paratici and the DoF role. Poch would supposedly want more power and may not want to work with Paratici. So we’ll see how that plays out.

Tuchel also mentioned as a top candidate. The only pushback on him is the fans being upset about hiring another former Chelsea manager. I get that, but Tuchel might be the best option on paper. I wouldn’t hate it. But I’m also not gonna be crying for him.

Other names listed in the article: Luis Enrique, Thomas Frank, Roberto De Zerbi, Marco Silva, Steve Cooper, and Ryan Mason.

Enrique, Frank, Dr Zerbi would all be fine options.
