Wo Long looks very interesting as does Chained Echoes, but I'm still working on Metroid Prime

 

Might have to finally pull the trigger on GOTG

 

GOTG is an underrated gem.

 

Sounds like the switch successor is coming at the end of the year

 

Guess I won't be buying tears of the Kingdom until then

 

If the next console isn't backwards compatible, I'm burning all my Nintendo products

 

I think that quick summary lines up with what I'd expect. ROTK fan service will keep me hooked though

 

I need to check out the Nioh games

 

Not able to read the review right this second. Can any kind soul tldr the loot issue with the game?

 

Atomic Heart seems kind of…. Okay so far? Seems like a copy cat of bioshock lol

 

In Team Ninja games you get a LOT of gear fast, resulting in bloat and there's very tiny difference between the same versions of pieces (such as one piece increasing lightning damage by 2% and another piece reducing spirit cost of something by 2%) that make it tedious to sift through and find out what you wanna keep and what you wanna get rid of

In Stranger Of Paradise it was a lot to deal with, and a big difference between Team Ninja and FromSoftware in execution for sure. It's minor but still an annoyance IMO

 

But yeah Nioh and SoP were really fun 8/10 games IMO and I hear Nioh 2 is tremendously better so I'm excited for Wo Long and to play Nioh 2 eventually

 

The one review I watched said the loot system is tedious and overwhelming but it gets easy to sort through it after some time.

 

Gotcha. I’ve finished Nioh 1&2 and SoP but I thought maybe they’d cut down on it and they were talking about the lack of loot lmao.

 

Oh, they said there are invasions too. You can use NPC’s in battle as well. Wearing those souls influences on their sleeve.

 

I haven't really read any reviews outside of seeing that blurb...but are there "covenants"? Cuz thinking about invasions from a lore perspective is kinda funny unless people are allying themselves with specific kingdoms, and I think that'd be a cool way to add to the general feel. I don't mind either way, but figured I'd ask.

 

The review I watched didn’t mention that and tried to stay as spoiler free as possible. He did say he expects there to be a patch on a certain boss that is pretty popular in the lore within the game. Just way too difficult and not exactly fair is what he said.

If that boss (which I'm assuming he...pursued) does get patched I hope it actually is unfair and not like Malenia who people still say is unfair but I really think isn't unfair at all
