I know these things are dumb in general but I wish they’d at least pick a real formation for the team.

There was a really tiresome element throughout the Sky broadcast that they wanted to make a bit of a sacrifice out of Karius and it was just not borne out on the pitch at all. The goal from the freekick was shit work by the defenders and the Rashford goal was a deflection. He followed those up with a really good save from a long Weghorst shot and stopping Bruno in a one on one. He was one of our better players on the day.

 

Ah yes, the stadium nicknamed Emptyhad by folk all across the globe is definitely due an expansion no doubt.

Something to note on City tickets, I think most club do something similar but people saying that City's policy is very relaxed comparatively. Feel like they should clean some of that up but I like season ticket holders not being screwed over all the time. Weekday matches seem to be the ones that have issues so my guess is this policy is both good for the ticket holder in that aspect but bad for the club, particularly thinking of weekday matches.

It's really a shame that Karius got so much hate after that CL final. He always was a good keeper but that game basically destroyed his whole career.

Maybe I don't understand that comment, but does that mean that if a season ticket holder cannot attend 8 games and sells their ticket for those games they basically get the equivalent of the whole season ticket value back? Why not just charge the partial of the actual value (i.e. one game out of 38 gets you 1/38 of the season ticket price). Thats how it works at Bayern and that seems pretty reasonable to me.

 

It's like everyone just totally ignored he was concussed when he did the shit things... I expect all the media and fan attention absolutely nuked his confidence, but it's amazing how much the whole thing seems to have tainted him for other clubs. I don't recall him being considered a bad keeper prior to that one match. He played 33 times for Liverpool in that season and then never again, even being entirely dropped from the squad before his contract ran out. No idea what his time at Besiktas was like (he played a decent number of games there), but it seems like such a catastrophic fall from grace.

 

I work in esports which has a pretty heavy gambling problem but here if a player is under 18 they usually aren't allowed to carry betting sponsors on their shirts. There was also a case of teams having to cover up sponsors with duct tape or fake names like early 2000s tobacco advertising in F1 because of regulations in Poland.

Is that not the case in football?
