I’m a big fan of Amy, I and Hey Hey Hey (We’re All Gonna Die)

I dunno, none of them really did much for me. THe first two stuck with me a little for their catchiness but I didn't really connect with the lyrics.

Funnily enough the one that seems to randomly stick in my head every once in a while is Amy, I. That intro and then 'snow on the ground...' etc. Not sure why haha, I don't particularly like the song that much.

My list pretty much aligns with Craig's, but I'd probably have P&T above the S/T, because it's something that did have to grow on me over the years. I've heard "No Man Is An Island" live and that was a magical moment.
The songwriting on Flowers though...it's magnificent and easily holds some of my favorite Andrew lyrics.

Restless Dream is THE song from P&T, but there's plenty of other solid ones

No love for "Amelia Jean"? It might be my favorite track on the album now, but it definitely had to grow on me.

I don't think people always realize that Brandi Carlile is the backing singer on "Restless Dream," but that's kind of a cool tidbit with how much her profile has risen since that album.

    Things have changed.

People And Things always felt like autopilot Andrew to me. Sure, there are great songs on there, but after the stretch of "What Gets You Off" through "Bloodshot" on The Glass Passenger, it feels a bit too easy.

I wish "Doris Day" was on streaming.

Wild seeing Upside Down Flowers as low as it is for a few people, i just love Blue Vacation and House in the Trees so much that it could never be that low for me haha. Then throw in Teenage Rockstars, Ohio, Monday Flowers, and Everything Must Go...just so good. I will admit that I do find some of the rest of the songs a little dull. I could never get into Paper Rain despite it seemingly being a favorite for some fans.

Maybe I’m just like having an elder Emo moment. But, what? Is this about People and Things or The Glass Passenger? And what’s too easy?

Sorry. After the cooler parts of The Glass Passenger that pushed his sound, that stretch in particular, it felt like the songs on People And Things went a little too safe.

Anybody saying People and Things doesn't have any all-timers must not have listened to "Amy, I"

I remember first hearing Something Corporate in the spring of '02 and thinkin "huh, Drive-Thru now has a NFG-soundalike with a piano" which in retrospect I recognize is really reductive but I imagine a lot of people had the same thoughts. When I got Leaving Through The Window, I was usually more impressed by the piano-led numbers vs some of the more pop-punk bait. North showcased significant growth and then with Jack's Mannequin he fully severed himself from that scene into a full-on tunesmith.
