Must be the same as the legendary raids, which is 1/20. Didn’t get one myself unfortunately.

 

I’m in Vegas until tonight and could sneak in some raids, lmk if any of y’all want to coordinate something

 

What version are people choosing for hoenn weekend? I chose sapphire

 

I went with Sapphire because a shiny Illumise would be nice

 

I did sapphire because my wife wanted ruby. Seems best to do both

I've done like, 3-4 raids total since they stopped the weekly passes

 

game blows chunks now.

 

I don’t understand how they look at how many people use it and are like “yeah we’ve gotta limit this”

The only reasoning that makes sense is that they have pressure from TPCi because shiny legendaries are now not as rare in the base games since you can transfer them over

 

Or does it boil down to people arent out and about playing as much so they can’t use players as little location services farms? I’m sure they want us gathering that info for them

 

I have just picked this game up again (first time since 2017!!!), am playing very casually but have a question - how rare are the good Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon these days? They are the only Gens I really like and, aside from standard stuff like Caterpie and Weedle, I am not seeing any at all. Now that there is the 3* appraisal thing I wanted to try and replace some of my 0* and 1* Pokemon but it is impossible - want a new Vileplume but in 3 or 4 weeks I have not seen a single Oddish let alone a 3* one!

 

The game has changed quite a bit since then haha. They currently are changing “seasons” every 3 months and with that the pool of mons that spawn regularly will change and it varies on location type like mountains, cities, forests, the coast. They definitely do usually feature a few gen 1/2 mons with each time though.

These days there are also events happening more often than not and those usually have their own pool of event spawns that you will see more regularly.

So it’s likely just not in the current season/event spawn pool. Doesn’t mean it’s gone forever but it may be a bit before something like Oddish gets featured again. I would try using incense and lures because those can pull Pokémon that aren’t in the featured events compared to just random encounters walking around.

Thank you, had no idea about seasons whatsoever lol. I have just about got my head around all the challenges that are available as none of those existed "back then" too, but those are enjoyable - the Team Rocket grunts not so much; every once in a while they drop me a super OP one who's lowest CP Pokemon is x2 higher than my highest!

 

Just a heads up, because I wish someone told me this when I started up again after not playing for a few years too, the 0 and 1 star pokemon are often better in battling PvP than the 2 and 3 star ones. https://www.stadiumgaming.gg/rank-checker is a useful resource to make sure you're not tossing something useful if you ever have any desire to battle with people.

 

well, fuck - already ditched my 0*s, but thank you for that as I was gonna make my way through the 1*s this afternoon! I didn't have that many though; somehow a good 80% of my Pokemon were 2* or 3*, which I thought was a stroke of pure luck - perhaps not!

 

If you’re looking to start out the less ideal IVs are still ok for the PVP stuff. Once you get further on the ladder, that’s when you’ll want the low attack/high def and HP mons.
