From a cached Stereogum article on Google that’s not actually published yet, looks like the album is called I’ll Be Your Girl and the headline says it’s inspired by New Order which is...intriguing

Not crazy about the song.

 

New Decemberists on a snow day couldn’t be any more fitting. Song is different but I think I like it. Definitely not what I was expecting.

Dig it. Did not realize that this track might be about Trump until seeing the music video.
Makes me like it more now.

 

I didn't watch the video and wasn't thinking the song was about him but the lines about "I alone am the answer" did make me think of him.

 

Thoughts on latest full song released? Seems a little too repetitive lyrically, but it’s uplifting so I dig it overall.

 

It is very oddly repetitive and structured...like he gets into some actual new verse lyrics towards the end but before that it kinda drags

 

I fuckin hate the snare sound. Why would you ever want your snare to sound like you're hitting a 2x4? I don't understand.

But Colin writes some seriously earwormy melodies.

 

Lovin' this new EP, but I'm a big fan of when this band chases the psychedelic country sound (Long Live the King, I Will Not Say Your Name, etc.)

Also Tripping Along was one of my favorite tracks off of I'll Be Your Girl

 

Castaways and Cutouts is the perfect album for a snowy morning

 

Almost as good as “January hymn” on repeat.
