It was a live trivia app/game show type thing 5ish years ago where you could win real money. If I remember correctly, it went live every night at a certain time and you’d have to log on to the app to play. I never played but it felt huge

 

HQ Trivia was a ton of fun in its prime and insane how fast it flamed out.

 

Anyone watch All That Breathes on HBO yet? Supposed to be one of the best docs of the year

 

Watch maybe a quarter of it and had to do something else. Will finish it later.

Even being familiar with the story, Stolen Youth was phenomenal.

It’s so rare in this recent avalanche of true crime-ish documentaries that one puts the people first and frames everything with a touch that is authentically humanistic (all the way down to stylistic choices like the handheld cameras).

Strongly recommend.

 

is that the doc about the Sara Lawrence cult? I watched a series about that on Peacock last year and it was so fucked up. Definitely intrigued with this new one, sounds like a lot of the victims were involved with it too

 

Correct, it’s the Larry Ray story.

Had not heard of the Peacock one but this is perfectly paced at around 3 hours over 3 episodes. And yes, the interviews are very well done and the footage in general is straight up bananas.

Yeah character is clearly modeled after Bob Ross, but uses a different name, and seems like a slightly more comedic take on his story. I'm guessing there's some sort of licensing issue with using the Bob Ross name

Feel like that reminds me of the Pam and Tommy sitch. If there’s a licensing issue or for whatever reason the idea of doing a nonfiction bio-pic wasn’t approved by the family or something, then you shouldn’t just go ahead and do it anyway or fictionalize it. Sigh.

Damn the love is blind after the altar is THREE episodes? So unnecessary haha. And apparently this was recorded a year ago so its not even relevant anymore

 

Watched it, was pretty good. Nice images. I had no idea there was a political element to the story and really found those parts compelling.

This season of You is what I wanted the horrific gossip girl reboot to be, haha.

 

Drama series bore me to death haha. My wife loves them though, much to my dismay.

 

Watching ginny and Georgia and I know they had kids young but it's still blowing my mind im now the age of the parents on teen shows. When did this happen.
