This album is pretty great. The production is awesome on it. It's a great fall album and I am probably the minority saying this, but this album is giving me the same feeling that Paper Walls did when I first heard it. Great send off.

  2. Empty Street, The Hurt Is Gone, and Fields and Fences are my favorites. this album is a worthy goodbye

    What has love become?

I can safely agree. This album reminds me so much of their Capitol Records album days. It has that feel for sure and then some.

A Place We Set Afire immediately was a highlight on first listen and is currently my favorite. Absolutely love the main riff, the lyrics, and the melody. That was a Yellowcard song if I ever heard one.

Same here in Michigan. Overcast and rainy. It's been great for music listening

Second listen of this today was A LOT more positive than my first. Some very good songs on here.

I am on my 20th listen. It only gets better over time. People aren't lying about it being one of the top. Just give it time to make a verdict!

Yea after my first listen I didn't know what I felt because it was so different from what I had in mind. After the 3rd listen though I started to come around on all the songs and now I love it

I can understand fans feeling that way about Here I Am Alive, although personally I still do love that song for what it is. I love Tay who did an amazing job on short notice after Island fucked us hard by not letting Patrick be on the song (after the record was already mastered) but if people heard that version, the way we originally intended, it makes a lot more sense. He sings the entire second verse and it's incredible.

No idea, sorry. I'm totally out of touch regarding our merch.

Nashville shows always suck for us, no offense. People don't show up and the crowd is weak, there's a reason we usually skip it. SLC however is always hands down the best show of every single US tour.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it accidentally found its way out into the world somehow at some point.

I've liked this record since I first heard it, but I think what was holding me back a bit was I was so excited to hear certain ones that I kept skipping around. Not that I've been listening straight through over and over, I realize how damn solid the whole thing really is. No dip in quality anywhere.

Could see how that might be the case here. Ah well. There have been some incredible shows in SLC over the years... Just something about that place and this band's music that really clicks. So excited I get to see the final tour there.

Hell even the short Warped Tour set this year was nuts. I turned up to that after having just stepped off the plane from Japan and was not prepared for that amount of energy in the crowd, it was awesome.

Personally I really enjoyed lift a sail but it it's no secret that you guys got a lot of crap for that album from some fans and critics. It really seemed like the band had a unique love for this album. From what I've gathered from various social media remarks and responses from the band, and the bitterness of saviors robes it seemed like the band took the negative responses a little harder than normal.

How much of the backlash to LAS contributed to the ending of the band? It seems like the sound of the band is really evolving (as it should) but may be evolving to a place many old fans don't appreciate. Was that a factor considered? I understand if this is a question you can't answer of course.

  21. It's weird that I have no desire to listen to this album. I don't know why! I have it. I just haven't busted it out yet, for whatever reason.

Finally got around to this, like all of the Yellowcard albums I've heard there's some songs I liked, some I didn't. RIP was probably my favourite.

Ryan! Really like the new record, i keep on want to listen to the record in full, instead of individiual tracks, which is a rare thing for me.

Now on to my question; will you be playing any new songs on the European tour?

    See you in Amsterdam!

  24. Damn, don't be sorry at all, that was a great answer. Glad you could work around my weird autocorrect of "writing" to "retiring" too haha. Well I'm glad you guys landed on the decision that you did, I really can't imagine this record closing out as effectively as it does any other way.

Thanks for popping in here and hanging out!

I like the album, but it's nothing memorable that i will remember/want to listen again. Paper Walls is and will remain their best album by Far. this is like a giFt to the die-hard Yellowcard Fans and they should be applauded.
