is it the same for you? Prestigious

I put solo records after the band, separately chronologically by original release date. I used to have them separate from one another alphabetically, but I just personally like this system better.

Other solo artists are sorted by last name, including ones like Lana Del Rey being in the Ds and Frank Ocean being in the Os (I want to say this is entirely how solo artists are sorted, but there might be a few exceptions I'm not thinking of).

I sort alphabetically by first letter of artist name (minus The) and I include solo projects chronologically with the rest of the band. So for example, Paramore’s last few releases would look something like Paramore -> After Laughter -> Petals for Armor -> Flowers for Vases -> This Is Why (when it’s out)

  3. In a perfect world, my sorting would all be alphabetical by band and then chronological by album. But I get so many new albums that I just have to put them in whichever cube I can get them in, so my sorting is all messed up now.

the only sorting i have now is "this second is stuff my wife likes", "this section is stuff that my wife doesn't like", and "christmas."

Moving things around to make space to keep things in order is the biggest pain haha

Also I can't imagine putting all of the "The" bands in the same section in a physical collection and not being super annoyed by it

I don’t remember the details. But I recall thinking the singer of Rookie of the Year was a dick.

I thought it was just me. They used to play shows here several times a year and he always seemed super full of himself. It's a bummer because I really like that album.

Got a really clean, old copy of Head Hunters at a nice price. New shop nearby is pretty solid!

i see rise records has ‘rotoscope’ from spiritbox under new releases on the main page, but nothing under the band page. presale link should be imminent.

their imprint, Pale Chord, announced that their entire discography is being repressed (because literally everything is sold out) and will be up for sale the first week of February, including Rotoscope for the first time. i'm not sure if they mean this week or next week. hopefully this week, as i have comps next week.

i'm hopeful they'll have plenty of Rotoscope and S/T. my copy of S/T came severely bowled, and since they sold out so quickly, they couldn't replace it. book method only slightly worked.
