New Thrice record is thouroughly OK in my opinion.

Like, if someone were playing a Thrice song/record while I was hanging out with them or something I wouldn't tell them to turn it off or anything, just what they do isn't very interesting or exciting to my ears.

I respect the opinion though, I have a few friends that can't stand American Football haha.

idk Dustins voice is kind of grating at this point and the lyrics dont do much for me at all, but i cant deny that the band are great musicians and make some pretty interesting rock music when they want to.

 

artist in the ambulance is my favorite thrice album although vheissu is pretty good

 

He's like the best vocalist in the genre. Also the sociopolitical tilt of the lyrics is fantastic figured you of all people would dig Them

 

Dallas Green is right there imo, if you consider him still "in the genre"

 

I think this is how I feel about most music tbh

 

idk maybe that opinion will change with the changing of weather because I do plan on re-visiting the entire post-Illusion catalog just to see if anything sticks. I'm hoping it does.

But I don't like his music. His voice is good though. So is tims. Dustin is better than both especially live

 

I've seen Alexis, City and Colour and Thrice in the last 12 months and I honestly think Dallas is a better singer now than he's ever been and certainly on Dustin's level. Which is not to nitpick Dustin, who was absolutely on point when I saw Thrice too, but somewhere along the line after Alexis broke up the first time Dallas turned from a good live singer into a legitimately great one. not trying to start an argument here or anything, maybe you'd agree or maybe not lol

 

I've only seen videos of him live, never actually in person and like I said I'm not into the music so it's hard to really get excited about his voice

 

I always considered The Offspring something that would be a guilty pleasure if I believed in that, if you don't like them I totally get it

I mean their guitarist is named Noodles, Noodles!
