This is so dumb its almost comical until I remember that people actual watch this as factual news.

 

I have this weird conspiracy theory about twitter ads. Context: I use the mobile site, not the app. When I scroll down the timeline and reach an ad, my brain naturally keeps scrolling. But more often then not, when I scroll PAST the tweet, it just opens up the ad. It’s not like a pop up, it’s more like my thumb made the motion to scroll past it but my phone acts like I’m tapping on the ad and then of course the external advertised site opens up. It has probably happened to me 100 times.

Haha thanks! Yeah actually my PCP just retired to take care of her sick husband, so I have an appointment with someone new next month. Fingers crossed! My urgent care had the same attitude about my blood pressure as my PCP. It seems to be around 146/100 when I used to always be a solid 120/80

 

Was the full body cam footage of Tyre’s murder released?

 

A HuffPo article posted a link to the Memphis Police Vimeo account but it’s four videos totaling over an hour long of body cam footage but it says posted 5 hours ago

Yep, its really disturbing how this is being rolled out

 

Tbf I think it’s more a result of the MPD basically begging people for days don’t riot when we release it. That’s kind of built it up into this big thing, but tbh I don’t think they had much of a choice. They knew they had to release it because trying to cover it up would make it worse, and releasing it suddenly without begging for the people to not burn their city down probably wasn’t a good track to take given how bad it is.

The BBC has been the same on their website all of today. Live text of the “build up” to the footage being released. It’s just weird. In my mind, at least a few years ago, you wouldn’t expect to actually see media relay this kind of footage. It’s often disturbing and can be graphic.
