I’m gonna say it, Gordon is mid. Potential is there for sure, but he really hasn’t earned a move to either of those clubs.

 

I've always thought the infatuation for him came out of nowhere. I just don't see it.

 

Decent young player with room to grow but is stagnating haaaard this season.

 

I may have said a few pages back, but I still haven't met a fellow Newcastle fan that wants him. Spend the exorbitant fee on a sure thing, not an underachieving young player who hasn't kicked on this season since his failed move to Chelsea.

 

He’s young and it’s British tax. I’m not sold on him especially for the prices thrown around

 

I also don't think Americans have the mentality needed to put in the work that Bielsa would require.

 

I say this as not an American, but I hope you're not making a wild blanket statement like that about all American athletes, and instead just questioning their current squad.

Oh it definitely is. But I think you could be surprised by how players respond to it. Especially for a national team where they're less likely to burn out from it in the same way his club sides all eventually seem to.
