Week gap between CHarlesteon and Queens leads me to believe DMB will add additional dates in NYC which is wild given they are already playing northern NJ and LI.

This is worse than the Disrupt Festival as far as value goes. That tour at least had 4-5 decent sized bands. They are literally banking on TBS and a bunch of bands that maybe draw 500-1K at most on headlining tours and charging regular amphitheater tour prices.

Here's a question for you tour speculators: When Maneskin inevitably tours North America in support of their album released this month, what size venues are they playing?

Live Nation is banking on Loved You A Little bringing in a ton of alt radio kids to fill these venues. I like most of the bands on this tour so it's a great value for me personally, but the crossover just isn't there for most. I didn't think I would actually be able to see LS Dunes again so soon. I figured it'd be a once every 5 years type thing

I’m expecting this to flop for this very reason. Disrupt had 4-5 almost-TBS-level bands headline, whereas Sad Summer is completely banking on TBS to fill these venues up themselves. Unless they slash ticket prices to like $20, there’s no way this does well

$58.00 before fees seems reasonable given how exorbitantly expensive touring has gotten for artists but i really don't know man.

I mean, the answer is super obvious. Sponsorships, sponsorships, sponsorships. There was also significantly more people attending Warped each year than this... Which means more money from concessions, merch cuts, etc.

I'd also imagine the majority of the bands on the lower-end of that line-up were making piddly amounts each show.

Based on history: They won’t be. But I could be wrong.

If Rush doesn’t pop off - ballrooms/large theaters
If Rush DOES pop off - hockey arenas?

I mean this the crux of the issue: bands have to charge more because of the cost of touring but people can’t afford those prices. At what point does the whole system fall apart?

They're getting a HUGE marketing push right now. I've seen adds everywhere, tons of playlist placement, and they're even getting a Howard Stern live show coming up soon.

I don't listen to radio or use TikTok, so not sure how much traction they're getting there. They were very fun at Coachella last year though.

The lineup for the first Blink-182 reunion show in Tijuana is dissapointing. Still dont understand why they are starting their tour there

Hilarious how everyone forgot Blink 182's "show your tits" requests on stage in the TRL days.

To be fair, if Brand New chatter can be wiped from this website, I'm sure Blink-182 could if it got serious enough. I like that band just never understood why the majority of this site sees them as untouchable legends.

I know some of the people involved in this and know the story on why they are starting there, lets just say the band accepted a very big payday that was meant to be a bluff so now they are playing and the festival.

not sure there's any reasonable way to compare brand new's stuff with,..blink-182? if the worst thing you have on blink is their jokes/commentary/bits from the early-2000's, when all of that was very much a product if it's time, then i think they're fine lol
