Arteta v EtH / Arsenal v United being the storyline for the next however many years would be great. Like you said it just feels right.

I find it ridiculous that you cannot watch all games on TV in England. I mean, I understand why they do it and I am usually the first one to advocate for visiting lower league football but in this time and age it feels so completely out of touch with reality. Everyone in the world can watch those Saturday afternoon games, but the English can not??? That does not make any sense.

But generally the prices to watch football nowadays are just completely ridiculous. So many people are priced out of it. And the ones in charge really wonder why so few younger people get into football...

The fact that you have to subscribe to 3-4 different providers to watch all your teams games is ridiculous. There was a time here in Germany where Sky would show all Bundesliga games and Champions League was on free TV. That was pretty sensible.
Then the cartell office stepped in and decided that one provider should not be able to get all the rights for every game of a competition. And now we have this fucked up situation where the rights of one competition are split up. But from a consumer perspective we still have a monopoly. If I want to watch a specific game of my club there is no competition at all. It's only shown on one service.
A true competition would be if e.g. all Bundesliga games would be sold to multiple providers. Then I, as a consumer, could choose the one that fits me the best, be it the one with the best price, best technology or best commentary, or whatever. That would be true competition that benefits the consumer.

Seems Lampard has gone at Everton.

Who do they get next? Dyche? Rooney? Some highly rated Championship Manager?

Apparently, the decision is on our DoF Kevin Thelwell. He is a massive fan of a 3-5-2 formation (he even wrote a book on it). Considering Dyche is a 4-4-2 man, I think he's out of the running. Nuno, on the otherhand, has worked with Thelwell before and uses 3-5-2 religiously. I'd go aa far as saying he's the favourite.

My choice would be someone like Steven Schumacher from Plymouth. Very highly-rated but would his inexperience come through? There's an element of risk with any choice at the end of the day.

Interesting. I did see Nuno linked the other day now you mention it, totally slipped my mind though. Would be an interesting appointment.

Ngl, I don’t really think I want him, but I also know it would be a nightmare for some of the American Spurs fans in here so I’m down lol

Give it Dychey ‘til end of the season!

  11. I want McKennie but I also don’t think he’d make us much better. He’s not the type of midfielder we need. But I also don’t want him on Arsenal. Can’t have my two favorite American players in Chelsea and Arsenal lol

    It's all hell.

Kane joining United gives me huge RVP vibes, and massive whiplash from how traumatic that was for me.

I think it would be super commendable if he stayed at Spurs, although it's really hard to see what the long term project is at Spurs at the moment from an outsider's perspective, (largely down to Conte).

  14. I think Kane would stay if Conte stayed, or if Poch returned. Otherwise, I don’t see it happening.

To me, him saying he’ll extend tells me he knows Poch is on the radar.

  16. I think he’s definitely the manager who comes in next assuming Conte is out. I’ve seen a lot of Spurs fans worried that this isn’t the right time to bring Poch back, and I get that, and they might be right. But I kinda feel like we need him right now. He loves the club and will at least come in with an understanding of how chaotic things can be lol I think he could bring a sense of calmness.

I remember how panned he was after his first season and its wild how consistent he has become.
