At 32 years old, last Friday I went to a live emo karaoke band, left to watch 2 sets of a local show (Career Day rules), then went back to emo karaoke. Then slept like all day Saturday & Sunday lol

 

The Saddest Landscape and Castle in one night for me. I'm not that exciting.

 

I am the avalanche/hostage calm/red city radio ate some food and then saw the menzingers/cheap girls/the sidekicks. Nothing will top that double dip.

 

That is truly a perfect evening. Both of those line-ups are pretty ridiculous. Especially that first one!

 

Hoping this means Jinjer is coming back to the US.

 

Pantera reunion just feels so off to me, but they've got every right to chase that bag I suppose lol

 

Yea but isn’t Phil tied to some white power stuff? Pantera always gave off a weirdly racist image to me (lots of Confederate images in their pics from the 90s)

 

I might be misremembering, but I recall Phil expressing regret that the band used confederate flag imagery and kind of distanced himself from it. Again, I could be misremembering, but I thought I read that somewhere

 

Truly wild to see a band from my hometown who I’ve seen play to about 8 people before on this lineup and not be listed dead last.

i agree, and i was never really into their dollar store brand thrash anyways, but if they're playing at a fest i'm already going to i'll gladly get a few whiskey drinks in me and rock out

 

compared to the other bands on there, it makes sense. maybe Gwar could be higher than them, but that's it.

 

Definitely makes sense given the other bands on the bill the day. If it were Friday, they'd probably be on the third line.

And I think Everclear being a legacy act with a lot of name recognition, radio hits, etc. is always going to bump them a little higher over other bands that might be equally as popular in the current moment.

 

Remember a friend telling me that when Pantera played the ampitheater he worked at in the 90's, there were a bunch of skinheads ripping out the concrete seats. Definitely had the iconography and were associated with those audiences at a point.

Ummmm because they are the best band on that bill...actually they make like no sense at that fest....but I will always love them!

 

I briefly thought this was the Richmond metalcore band Scarlet that ended up becoming Conditions. I am very wrong

 

Madonna tour is selling incredibly well at extremely high prices. 3 more shows added at MSG and extra shows added in Toronto, Vegas, Dallas, Miami, Houston, Austin, LA, Seattle, Boston, and San Francisco.

 

I’ll probably try to get Madonna tickets on the aftermarket closer to time when the prices dip
