there is no current existing universe where hawthorne heights are big enough to open for fall out boy or mcr lol

I’ll say this (re: sad summer)

This tour will do just fine. It has the “classic” sad summer bands that have either played before or fit that sleeve well. The he addition of the older bands is such a smart move in the right direction.

As far as TBS goes, they’re a fantastic nostalgia act at this point where people will show up and stay to see them. They also do a great balance of playing old with new. The only issue is: they’re not great in an outdoor setting. Adams voice now just doesn’t translate well. But in a club, they’re still killer.

I could see it only if MCR & FOB were the type of bands who wanted to lean WAYYY into the nostalgia market and basically make a WWWY roadshow type tour.

but even then there’d have to be some kinda buffer band like Underoath or The Used because HH is way too small to directly support FOB

WWWY is about as far as I expect MCR to lean on nostalgia.

maybe Adam Lazarra's Southern preacher onstage persona has gone to his head and made him think grandiose thoughts about being a megachurch pastor?

Same, need info on that. He starts the dead and co. tour in May so a solo deal would be cool before it if he were to come here

Agreed! I have no insight to it but in my head I thought “oh maybe he’ll do a solo tour after the Dead & Co run” like in 2017 (or 2018?). Lol. Because he played here twice in a month period and mentioned it multiple times on his own gig.

Idk FOB x BMTH makes a ton of sense and could definitely do the big amphitheaters.

    Things have changed.

AXS is owned by AEG, Live Nation's competitor.

I think HH and AFS already did a West Coast tour last year?

i don't know if the armor for sleep reunion hype is that big but those seems like awfully large venues for hawthorne heights in 2023

  25. if that tour was coming here to Utah, i'd be able to leave after Armor and get home and go to bed at a decent hour. mmmm...
