The voice is maybe the worst story line in Seinfeld.

The post-Larry David seasons are almost unwatchable. The show ends with Susan's death.

Nah there are still great episodes in season 8 and 9 but the worst are definitely from these seasons as well.

I haven't seen nearly as many sitcoms as other people here, but the drops are as follows:

Seinfeld starts wavering in season seven but then really falls off in season eight.
The Simpsons starts to get suspect in season nine but then really falls off.
The Office (US) starts to run out of steam midway through the second season, but really gets bad after the fourth season.
Curb Your Enthusiasm is still very good, but there is a dip after season three, another lower dip after season seven, but the last season was the best in years.
King of the Hill gets worse as the animation gets cleaner.

Larry seasons are better in my opinion for sure, and the show became more cartoony and less realistic but there are CLASSIC episodes throughout: Bizarro Jerry, Chicken Roaster, Abstinence, JERKSTORE, Serenity Now, Merv Griffin Show, Festivus, Dealership, The Wizard, Frogger, Susie, Yada Yada, Newmanium, Summer of George.

Probably wrong person to ask though, since I don't think there's any bad episodes.

If I HAD to pick the worst episode I'd go with The Dog. That annoying loud fake bark throughout almost the entire episode, pretty much nothing redeeming about the ep at all.

Take the Merv Griffin Show. Seinfeld episodes could sometimes stretch some believability with Kramer storylines, but it is just too hard to take seriously. How did he get the set up there? Why are his friends playing along with the joke? Would the bird expert really think an apartment is a TV set? It is just too wacky. Seinfeld was at its best when we can relate to it. Most of us wouldn't create an elaborate scheme to steal an answering machine message, but everyone has sent something that they wish they could take back. We have all thought about parking in the handicapped space when there is no one else using it but the lot is full. Almost all straight people have dealt with some of the sexual tension of platonic opposite sex friends. That universality is the charm.

Nah the one where the guy on the plane has a stroke/bells palsy (which they kind of downplay/make fun of). Jerry not even caring if the dog gets sent to the pound/possibly killed.

The Elaine/George dynamic where it's awkward is okay but still kind of weird. Jerry also mentioning why Kramer hasn't killed his annoying girlfriend yet.

Yeah I agree they all basically become caricatures of themselves in those seasons. But they also used up so many of the situations that relate to people and their day to day lives after 100+ episodes. Larry is amazingly creative but even after so many Curb episodes, Larry himself has done plenty of wacky/unbelievable scenarios in that show too.

I agree, which is why I think Curb Your Enthusiasm dropped off after season three, although not nearly to the same extent.

Even Festivus is ruined by the b-plot about Jerry's girlfriend and the lighting.

Veep got a lot worse when Ianucci left but then really recovered in the last season. South Park hasn't been great in a long time. The only long-running comedy I can think of that retained its quality is The Larry Sanders Show.

Yeah it's a tough thing to do. Seinfeld and Curb are the best in terms of that though which is why they're atop my alltime list. Always Sunny drops for sure, Office even before Michael leaves drops IMO. Parks and Rec kinda holds up, I enjoy most of Brooklyn 99 as well. If you count Nathan For You, not a bad episode and continuing with the Rehearsal but yeah different kind of show.

All those criticisms of the last 2 seasons are valid but I still think there are some great episodes or parts of episodes in the last 2 seasons.

I thought you meant the one were Kramer has the same cough as the dog and then starts acting like a dog and bites Newman because that storyline is stupid.
