Is this a real fest, because if so, where are the real bands?

This is the first fest, and I'm not being snarky or funny at this point, where I have not heard of a SINGLE one of those artists or bands. In any capacity whatsoever, have I heard any of those words mentioned in relation to music.

Now I see it's a local DIY fest so that makes more sense. The poster gave it big fest vibes so I expected big fest names that I should know.

 

Really rad to see JER get top billing somewhere! Wild that them and Weakened Friends are billed over Chris Farren at this point.

This is a weird schedule/setup

 

The only act I know on this lineup is J Navarro & The Traitors. And that’s just because I know J’s stuff with the Suicide Machines

 

Yeah and the spelling of "Fallout Boy" threw me off.

 

Also not stoked about RHCP going on far after my bedtime /s

Why is fall out boy playing before Phoenix?

 

It's Fallout Boy.

And maybe they have something else going on that night?

 

maybe they want the crowd to show up and fill the place so they put FOB early in the evening

 

It’s odd. Fall Out Boy goes first with a 40 minute set, followed by Rosa Linn who only gets 20?

I think it’s the station’s way of making sure the less-popular acts get more of a crowd, which I understand, but it’s still an odd way to go about it.

It sucks if someone’s there for FOB but shows up late

 

this is exactly what most radio shows do. Not like all day fests, but arena shows like this. They always put someone big on first to get the crowd in

 

It’s a $15-$30 DIY fest where the stages are literally people’s living rooms and backyards where all the houses are a walkable distance from one another.

it’s actually a really cool concept and I was thinking about going this year. Probably won’t, but I hope it continues.

 

Yea, I looked into it. It's cool. They have something similar in my city, a porch fest type deal but much smaller. It didn't get the professional promo looking treatment though. That's what confused me. And when I see fests where I don't know the artists I look them up. Not really into the first few though as I don't like skaesque music.

I think that's been this show's whole bit, Twenty One Pilots were first on in 2019 and Billie Eilish was first on in 2020.

That Stoop Fest lineup is awesome. Really diverse, musically and otherwise, and the concept sounds super fun.

 

Better question, why is Fall Out Boy playing before Beach Weather??

 

It could also be as simple as Fall Out Boy having somewhere else they need to be later in the evening. It's rare, but that's sometimes the case... Particularly with radio festivals that bands don't really give a shit about.

EDIT: It also sucks for Phoenix, Beach Weather, and Rosa Linn to have to follow them, though.
