This is really not the album I expected them to write

Closer reminds me of born without bones

 

BEST band. I hope they announce their new LP soon....??

 

Everything seems to point towards an announcement before the end of the year, album in Q1 next year.

 

That's what I was thinking / expecting. I think this is the album that puts them over the top. They played two of the songs that I'm pretty sure will be on the record two summers ago on their tour with State Lines and they were phenomenal. I guess this delay means that it's probably being released through a label...?

 

This review should be up any time now hopefully.

 

There really isn't a single song on this I dislike.

This is some fire

 

After about 4 days with this, I think this is much better than Stovall, and Stovall hit me pretty hard last winter so that's saying something. I think this will end up in my top three this year.

 

I just got through my first listen.... really loving everything on this and it clicked instantly. Nice.

 

This album is dope af.

 

Loved my first listen. Dull, Neighbors, Busy, and Vomit are early favorites.

 

Here's my 8 song setlist I'd want now that Much Love is out.

I like this record a whole lot after three listens. Something Right will probably always be my favorite song from them, but I think this record is solid front to back. Excited to see them again on the upcoming tour. His vocals were kind of shredded last time I saw them, so the reduced screaming on Much Love will probably make the new songs easier for him to sing live.

 

I like this quite a bit. I echo the statements about the vocals being buried in the mix, especially on Roaches. I can hardly pick out a line. Dull is an early favorite as well as Neighbors.

Does anyone know if Nathan's other band blis. is still active? I assume not but I enjoyed their ep from a while back and would like some new tunes from them

 

Wait he sings in blis too?? I always thought they were two different bands

 

I just checked their fb he isn't listed as a member lol

 

Anyone have any recs of stuff that came out recently similar to this album? I feel like I'm prob missing some stuff I might really enjoy. I enjoyed the Ceres rec earlier in this thread, and the new Apologies, i have none is really good too.

 

Black Foxxes is different musically but a similar vibe.

 

He was their guitarist I believe.
