Was it Spiritual Machines? 'Cause if it wasn't Spiritual Machines, it should've been Spiritual Machines.

If You Believe and The Wonderful Future are great too.

Happiness... Is Not A Fish You Can Catch is my favorite album though, although Spiritual Machines is close second.

    Naveed is fantastic too.

i dont know why you let yourself get so hung up on them, its so easy to just accept them as an additional texture, especially the way he sings. and tbf you have a national avatar, beringer isnt exactly the most coherent writer either

Berninger sounds like I do when I'm drunk and confused and feeling weird. Justin Vernon doesn't sound human to me.

All of the bands I like for the most part are bands that are lyric / narrative-centric. It's just what I am interested in, especially in indie-rock.

Nah. The only post-rock band I ever really was into was Godspeed, and that's probably in large part because of the monologues being super morbid and fun haha

If I listen to instrumental music, it's typically ambient / electronic stuff, Kaki King, or Ray Kane or something. Dilla, too. And then there's jazz music and like 2 composers I like.

Sigur Ros literally just made up a language for their music but it's beautiful

    No Fun. Not Ever.

I have a buddy who is visiting Iceland right now. He said it's so goddamn beautiful there, that he completely understands why the had to make up a language. There's no other way to describe what he's seeing.

  15. Well....there is an icelandic language

Yeah Sigur Ros just made up a language for the purpose of the music there's an Icelandic language and other related real languages

Idk if I've ever listened to a post-rock band. Idk, I don't really listen to music that doesn't have lyrics. Concept isn't that appealing to me. Haven't tried most of it tho tbh, so I'm not saying I wouldn't like it. I've listened to Donuts (obviously not post-rock) and the only song that's really stuck with me is Workinonit. I'll probably try listening to it again and maybe like Godspeed or some other "entry level" post-rock band when I get off work.

    what a waste of wood

Start with "All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone" or "The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place" by Explosions In The Sky. Really don't see how anyone can not enjoy those albums. I think that's a good "entry level" band.

If you like that check out "Spiderland' by Stint, "Laughing Stock" by Talk Talk, and "Young Team" by Mogwai. These are a little harder to get into though

Yeah, Explosions seem like the most accessible post rock band from what people tell me, I know that Slint record is super influential so I'll try that after one of those

Idk if I agree with EITS being the most accessible but it doesn't matter
