If playing games all day is wrong, punch reality until it's right.

I started playing the Zealot because I wanted to play a more melee focussed class, but all I want to do is shoot her silly little gun.

The built in recap in Ragnarok is dog shit if you never played the first. Watch a youtube video recapping the previous one. There are a bunch of good ones.

  5. This post ended up being more about the book than the game, whoops...

    Thoughts on Telltale's TWDS4
ngl I only wanted to play this because I saw a pic of Clem kissing Vi and wanted to make it happen. And I did! Then she died.
I like the parallels between Lee raising Clem and Clem raising AJ
I like the idea of a settlement of teens. It's a shift to a more YA focus than previous TWD stuff I've seen/played.
I also like that the majority of the conflict is kids vs. adults, and that the adults includes someone from Clem's past.
In classic Telltale fashion, half the characters are annoying. But at least the other half are actually likable.
I think I liked this about as much as S1, and definitely more than S2. I didn't play S3.

Thoughts on Tillie Walden's graphic novel Clementine Book One (spoilers for TWDS4)
Fans of the series/games are complaining that Walden's story is slow and the action panels are a bit hard to follow--which, tbh, is a fair criticism--and also that Walden doesn't understand Clem's character, portraying her as soft, but I'd always played Clem as conflicted between morality and mortality, so I don't exactly agree with that in particular. And it's not like the Telltale games were these perfectly written narratives that Walden's somehow tainted.
I do agree with their criticism that it's a missed opportunity that AJ isn't in this. Clem left him at the school in an issue that takes place in between the events of the game and the book. It's a little out-of-character for her to leave like that, but I trust that Walden knows where she's going with Clem's arc. (and, idk, maybe she left because in this timeline she loved Vi and then Vi died; Walden hasn't really brought it up yet.)
However, I like that the story portrays how Clem's life is like with one leg in zombie post-apocalypse. And also another character with visual impairment. And also that Walden seems to be setting up a queer romance between the two. (and like, there's an Amish settlement in the apocalypse? That's unexpected and interesting.)
And I for one adore the artwork and the pacing. I think the characters are really well written. And, again, I like the idea of a settlement of teens, the YA focus. Maybe fans of the games have outgrown that genre, but that's their problem.
I think it does a good job of being welcoming to newcomers not familiar with the franchise. And there's an honest effort to present something compelling and affecting. I agree with some of the criticisms, but it's a bit reductive to call this just a cash grab for Skybound.
I probably shouldn't have made this my first Tillie Walden book but I'm really excited to start On a Sunbeam next, I've been sitting on it for a while.

You would only have to play God Of War 2018 or look up a recap video.

All the others before 2018 are unnecessary.

Play GOW 2018 before. If it hasn’t been mentioned, you can get the game for free after making your PlayStation account. I believe they are still giving it away along with like 20 other titles.

The custom difficulty options in TLOU Part 1 remake are great, putting resources on abundant and everything else on hard is exactly how I want to play.

No Man’s Sky also did custom difficulty really well, would love to see more games try this
