Julien Baker & Torres - TBA (2024?)

What we know so far:

Torres confirmed to me when I met her after a show at the Empty Bottle in Chicago that she had recorded a country album with Julien and it would be out in 2023. She also posted on her Patreon a bit prior that she was flying to Marfa, Texas to record a country album with Julien. (there was a screenshot of that floating around but I cannot find it anymore)

Torres does Q&A’s every so often on Instagram stories and has responded to questions about the album:

I've never listed to Torres but I'm here for anything Julien touches

 

Julien just wiped her twitter account (but only hers the rest of boygenius did not).

So…let’s go.

 

Are they still kinda keeping it a secret I see? I've heard about it so many times now, I do hope it's true and so it seems, always up for anything new from Julien

 

Nothing is official yet but I think we will hear something soon.

This could just be a solo album, I think we will find out this week

Really fell in love with Thirstier after picking up a discounted vinyl copy earlier this year, so I'm stoked to hear this!

 

Okay so I guess there’s two albums coming out, this one with Julien and the one she just announced that does not feature Julien whatsoever, because she’s not mentioned in any of the credits at all. We’ve been using this thread to talk about the collab with Julien so I’ll just keep it as that.

Scroll through, there’s a picture of them in the studio and it confirms Sarah Jaffe who is Torres regular producer and Sarah from Illuminati Hotties produced this album
