Insane to me that a cover band can play Red Rocks

 

There's a lot of random bands that play redrocks that don't seem like they could. Honestly, it seems that if you're a band that people like to smoke weed and vibe to, you can play redrocks. I see so many smaller jam bands that don't seem to have a big pull elsewhere get crazy crowds there. Something about nature, legal drugs and that sweet, sweet jam section baby.

one of those classic tours where the support is infinitely better than the headliner.

 

Maybe I'm very ignorant about this (I don't pay attention to this band), but isn't Sublime with Rome the members of Sublime with Rome as the new singer? I wouldn't call that a cover band.

That'd be like calling Stone Temple Pilots a cover band because they added Jeff as a vocalist after Scott died.

Only the bassist was actually in sublime I believe

 

This was the case for two years. But Bud (drummer) left the band at the end of 2011, so now Eric (bassist) is the only original member of Sublime in the band. So, in ways, it is kind of a stretch still using the Sublime name, but what do I know?

 

When I think cover band, I think like, a bunch of random people who have no associated ties to the original band though. It seems like Sublime with Rome was initiated to carry on the Sublime legacy with a different singer. If members eventually leave, it doesn't transition to a cover band, imo.

 

They should change the name to Sublime of Theseus

This gives me hope for some cool tours next year (I’m looking at QOTSA and Converge specifically)

 

Hope that Beneath Medicine Tree tour hits the midwest later in the year.

Never got into Prince Daddy but the rest of that tour rules.

Who is Hardy? Is the first time I see that band but its at the same position as QOTSA and Alice Cooper
