+1 to Kain, Castlevania, Sly, Golden Sun, and Dino Crisis, for multiple reasons.

Golden Sun even left on a huge fucking cliffhanger; Camelot needs to finish what they started.

As for Dino Crisis, I keep hoping Capcom will remake the first once they're done with Resident Evil.

Turok, on the other hand, feels like a franchise of its time, and maybe it's best it stays that way.

 

Kain honestly could be a massive franchise again if they took a From Software approach to it. Like, Elden Ring, but with Kain characters and lore.

Players log: Been taking a break from traditional gaming to focus on a Community Challenge for TrueAchievements: The Twelve Days of Christmas. Essentially everyday a new challenge will unlock that requires you to meet specific criteria for the achievement to unlock.

Day 1: Earn one achievement with the words "remake" or "remaster". (Ironic considering our conversation today.)
Day 2: Earn two achievements with two letters in a row that are ALL caps.
Day 3: My current one: Earn three achievements with an ellipsis. I am currently using Dead Cells for this one and it's a reminder of how great the game is.

Oh I thought it was the first two games not the psp entries. I’m playing the first two ps2 games on the ps3 remaster bundle.

 

snagged the final fantasy IV DS version today. it will be my first FF game ever.

 

also since ps5's are now reliably in stock i cant decide if i want to save up money for that or a steam deck next.

well ive had this revelation this year that im actually pretty decent at video games lol even though if there is a difficulty option i tend to play on normal, im able to beat a lot of games whether they do have a difficulty option or not (like all the fromsoft games i was playing and octopath traveler)

 

lately i have been putting all my time into fire emblem three houses and tales of arise, but i also am slowly chipping away at the beginning parts of cyberpunk, wow dragonflight, horizon zero dawn, and pentiment. i also forgot i snagged xcom 2 for ridiculously cheap the other day when it was on sale, plus all the shit in my backlog and on gamepass that ive started or need to start. but, as far as three houses and arise goes, i am completely hooked on both and sink many hours into each every other day or so at least.
