James Jude Courtney was such a great Michael in this trilogy.

I'm rewatching Ends right now. I enjoyed my first viewing in theaters, but I am actually liking it more now. The book writing trope is overused but it does a good laying the land for the story they're about to tell. This movie isn't subtle at all but I love how negative the whole thing feels. It helps put you in Corey's mindset.

 

Not to mention she falls with a dweeb she has zero chemistry with over the span of like a week to the point of getting in a huge fight with Laurie lol. Her and Karen's characters were done so dirty in this trilogy

 

I watched this again before the WGAR episode. I don't love it, but I think I at least get what they were going for a little bit more. I was able to enjoy it without lofty expectations, but I still think the execution is mostly pretty bad.

Initially thought these were VHS’.

 

Finally watched this last night. It was okay! Like, this is one of those rare times for me where it didn’t feel like any other movie in the franchise for most of it, and because it was so over the top with it, I ended up enjoying it even though I didn’t find it that particularly good.

I was really glad that Michael still ended up being the big bad at the end, I thought when they did the ole taking over the mantle move that he’d end up taking out Michael too but instead they went the other way and gave us the final showdown we deserved.

I don’t know how often I’d return to it, and probably the worst of the reboots to me, but still…entertaining.
