The SkillUp review (negative) just came up on my YouTube autoplay and while he's also mostly hating on the game it looks so sick lol

 

Cyberpunk was just on sale last weekend I snatched it

 

Big shame about Callisto, guess I’ll wait for the DS remake instead.

 

At first I thought you were talking about Nintendo DS and got real confused.

 

I would 100% play a DS demake of callisto protocol. Hell, make it 3DS.

I really admire the devs behind Dead Cells for continually providing free updates (like new weapons and skins, and even a couple of biomes) to the game in addition to the DLC biomes that have already been released. Stuff like accessibility settings and assist mode greatly improve upon a game that was already great when I first tried it on Gamepass a year ago. Definitely worth the (on sale) purchase

 

This is what I was afraid of. It’s essentially Dead Space 1.5. Will I play it? Absolutely!

Yeah, it was going to be one of the rare day one drops I do pick up but I will wait.

 

hype died faster then the hype that was behind cyberpunk tbh

Just bought an Original Xbox. Gave mine up over 15 years ago and always regretted it. Especially since I still have quite a few OG Xbox games laying around that aren't backwards compatible, or just perform badly on the 360. No more weirdo frame rate drops in Jet Set Radio Future for me.

 

Horror geeks were hyped, which I get. I feel like a lot of horror hype is met by disappointment but I'm saying that looking from the outside lol.

 

I think there was a lot of excitement behind it considering it was some of the team behind the original Dead Space. Also, there has been a lot of discussion about Dead Space in general coming back in some form or another so in a way this had some hype. Fingers crossed they do a lot to fix the issues and the Dead Space remaster is good.

 

yeah hype from a niche part of the gaming fandom. literally everyone and their mom had heard of cyberpunk at some point, and the studio was coming off a game that has sold 40 million copies as the 15th best selling game of all time. the hype is just not comparable. pretty sure the dead space trilogy sold a fraction of that combined.

 

Oh I agree. The hype is not even closer to the same level, but it is still there regardless. Definitely a niche franchise but a beloved one. It’s just sad to see something, like Cyberpunk, that people were excited about have a bad outcome. Like Cybepunk, I hope they can turn it around.

 

none of this has anything to do with what i was replying to lol. im saying, in response to the post above mine, that the hype died down quicker than it did for cyberpunk because there just wasnt that level of hype outside of a niche group, from what ive seen while the game is a disappointment it's not a catastrophic failure/trainwreck like cyberpunk was.
