New Trhä album is now up on Spotify

 

Digging that Live Burial album. That Gonemage album fucks too, didn't know I needed more black metal chiptune in my life. Or whatever the genre would be idfk I ain't the damn police.

 

We tried to blend our love of heavy metal with slasher film if you have time to give me your honest feedback :

 

I had a similar experience this year with this album. Still need to spend more time with their other records.

 

Just finished it and I completely forgot they strayed this early in their career (well, at least with that line-up) from goth metal to something more art rock and trip-hop-y. This took me by surprise.

 

The run from that album to Souvenirs is absolutely classic. (Need to give Home a proper shake, but the Anneke-free albums are of no interest to me tbh)

 

My ass got called out by @swboyd in another thread because I've let old age get to me and it's made me a boring poser.

That being said it's time for the return of THRASH METAL THVRSDAY!!!!!!!!

For the comeback party, I'm posting three classics. I know for a fact that I've posted them before, some of them multiple times maybe, but who gives a shit they deserve to be reposted.

Toxik - Machine Dream. More on the prog thrash side but that solo is one of the best I've ever heard, it's fkin insane.

Forbidden - Infinite. Underrated band, amazing album, sick opening track with riffs for years.

Testament - Burnt Offering. It should be Exodus rounding out the big 4 and not Anthrax. But if it isn't Exodus, it's Testament. Terrible production, amazing song.

I'll put more effort into my post next week. Consider the thread put on notice.

Pretty much every time I find a new black metal band I like, I look up to see if they’re sketchy and they’re pretty often nazis or okay with nazis. It’s a bummer

that said what are your favorite black metal releases of 2022? Trying to catch up on some shit I missed

 

Blackbraid is probably my favorite black metal album of the year so far
