Let’s see who do we honestly think the headliners are? I’ll say MCR, A Day To Remember, and Meek Mill

trying to think of three headliner caliber bands that can’t be announced yet for some reason.

I don’t know why but I feel like maybe Fall Out Boy are a headliner and they’re waiting for it to coincide with the announcement of their new album + tour.
Also guessing Kid Cudi and Demi Lovato to round out the top 3.

Yeah that poster got me so confused, because it makes it look like there are either 3 or 11 headliners definitely not 9 lol. Weird to even make that when there are "way more" bands playing

I'm still optimistic that at the end of the day, this is gonna be a good lineup. Not amazing, but still good and make people happy Bamboozle is back.

I do wish that at least one of the big headliners was announced before tickets go on sale. I wonder how much prices will jump for phase 2 and 3, obviously would much rather buy them this week before it goes up

I don’t think this festival has the pull now to get Kid Cudi. Demi maybe.

My reasoning was that since Cudi just headlined Govball AND did an arena show in the tri state area, that his fee would be more affordable than usual

Doesn't hurt that he's played the festival before, too.

We don’t know the rest of the lineup but I will say:

The thing with festivals like Lollapalooza or Coachella or any generic all over the place festival or even more genre specific ones like Riot Fest is there’s almost always enough to get you through the day and make the price at least somewhat justifiable. (Even if you’re not a fan, Billie/Harry/The Weeknd justified the Coachella price, for example) and those festivals are organized well enough where enough people are going to show up regardless of the bands playing. Having said that, I just don’t see a scenario where any of the headliners will justify the price of a ticket, unless they got like Green Day or Metallica or Rage which they aren’t getting.

Also, I think an issue with festivals, despite what I said above (because while people will always show up, these fests aren’t always selling out) is that you have to make your festival unique or the maximum potential of people will not travel. When We Were Young is unique, Adjacent is unique enough. If every act on the lineup you can see in [Insert Big City] for way cheaper, why travel?

At this moment I could see the tickets being around 200 dollars. But an almost 400 dollar fest is crazy because all these artists play at least once a year in pretty much every state.

Exactly. The lineup we’ve been shown does not come close in value to the price of that ticket. And the fact that with the next wave they’re raising the prices again means that we’ll likely get to the point where you’re always having to chose between overpaying for what has been revealed to you, or buying in and hoping that the next wave justifies how much you had already overpaid.
this. The thing I don’t understand about nearly every positive comment on the lineup post is they’ll say something like “OMG, WE THE KINGS?!? I HAVE TO GO!” As if they think We The Kings on their own are worth $300.

It’s bizarre that there are *any* people that dumb, but it’s even more bizarre that Bamboozle seems to think there’s enough of them out there to actually make the first wave sell well.

What’s the capacity for a fest at badgers field?

Im thinking it’ll be pretty easy to get a 200 buck pass on stubhub the week of

I imagine 20-25k. I was there for the Orion Festival in 2012. If that didn't sell out, no way the Bamboozle does.

Wow, so significantly smaller than the cap Douglas Park (Riot Fest’s venue) has? Now it’s starting to make sense as to why they feel the need to charge so much per person.

Ah ok so basically the same cap as when it was at the meadowlands

The number of IG/Twitter likes is embarrassingly low for the lineup announcement. Definitely isn’t trending like he’s had hoped. Who knows how many tickets they move tomorrow but I think they’d really benefit from dropping some more lineup names asap.

I really don’t think the final lineup is going to be terrible, but it’s just the way it’s being rolled out that kills the excitement. The last Boozle in 2012 was also announced in waves but at least that first wave had Foo Fighters and Blink 182 in it.

So when do the ticket prices increase? Like, are we expecting the lowest priced tickets to "sell out" tomorrow and have to wait for announcement 2? Or is it just going to be that price until they make the next announcement?

  22. Mtlman1331

    Trusted

going to be that price til announcement two and then another increase at announcement three

If the lineup was that exciting they’d drop it in one fell swoop.
