This morning I was stuck in traffic a block away from a ton of police activity but couldn’t tell what was going on. Then I saw reported that police had a barricaded suspect in an apartment after a shooting nearby:

That made sense considering all the helicopters and swat units and the police shutting down the entire freeway in both directions.

But,,,,, what actually happened was the cops and a landlord showed up to forcibly evict a tenant, and the tenant closed the door and took their life. Then the police treated it like a hostage situation for six hours instead of maybe figuring out what was actually going on and being able to render aid.

I got rid of Twitter last week. More of a coincidence than a Musk thing. I’ve dreaded getting rid of it solely because I’m getting older (4 kids) and it feels like the one way I’m able to stay up to date in things I love like music and movies.
