So I found out this EP exists tonight and holy shit how is this so obscure? Got released in 2017 so right before ATP. AllMusic and Discogs both don't even acknowledge it. Did it only exist for a single run of like 50 copies or something?

Really happy to have the OTIP demos streaming finally. Haven’t listened to Sun Hotel Pt 2 in forever. What a great fucking song.

 

For some reason I was expecting them to mostly be like Burn and feature fairly small changes, but not the case at all. I love how different Sun Hotel's chorus is and how Good Things originally had a part of the title track in.

 

I personally always preferred the "sharing our smokes, I got high while you drank and drove" line but completely get why they changed it, the replacement line effectively sets up the whole album thematically. They're both great

 

Anyone got a setlist from last night?

 

Any word on them recording? Feel like we’re about due!

I’ll go months without listening to these guys and get my mind blown every time I dive back in. Best punk band around.

 

Tom was on First Ever podcast and said they've been writing a ton

My assumption is they're going into the studio early next year with plans for a fall release

 

Unless LP production timelines improve, if they start recording next year you could very well be waiting till '24

I would love a killer new record. Last couple were mostly just OK imo (with a few standouts)

 

seeing these fine lads on Thursday and cannot wait. setlist from the Asbury shows has looked great.
