Weird move by Larry to get him

PG is good enough to build around, but outside of Turner I don't think they have any of the right pieces. Gonna have to make a lot of smart moves to build around him.

PG is good enough to build around, but I don't think he can carry a team. The talent is there, but I don't think the leadership is. Which is fine, but I kind of just wish the management would admit it and make their top priority to bring in another David West calibre player who can carry the team from a mental standpoint.

Yea I'm curious to see how they retool for the future. They were looking like they were well on their way to becoming a real contender but kind of just fell off big time. Still don't understand how Roy Hibbert could look so dominant in some stretches and so god awful in others

    Hibbert still perplexes me.

I don't even know who they can go out and get, getting value out of the draft might be their best hope.

I think Bird knew they were probably, as they were, always going to be second fiddle to Miami (or where ever Lebron was) and once PG went down, just decided to blow up the team and restart. Getting Turner out of it was great, I just hope they can continue to get more pieces like him for the future.

But who else can they get that has it all?

They'll probably try for DeRozan in free agency or something.

    Here for the subbing.
Also, patiently waiting for the Warriors dynasty to end. By that time, it'll be the Lakers for the taking.

He's a goof. Not that Russell or him are in the right, I hope it's the last time we see Swaggy in purple and gold.

Damn, that was a gnarly fall by Bazemore. Glad he is ok. I forgot about the Delly-ATL rift from last year. Should have known that Hawk fans would still be thinking about those games.

That fall was hard. I'm glad he didn't break his elbow or his arm. Also thought it was awesome that he got up and shot those free throws after that.

And those games were really tough as a Hawks fan. Losing Horford and Korver in the playoffs was a huge bummer on the great season we had, but it happens. Cleveland has always been one of my favorite Hawks opponents though. They really push us, even if we don't always win against them.

And hell yeah Hawks fans still remember the ECF. I went to every single home playoff game last year and had an absolute blast. I'll always remember that season, it was something special. Delly is lucky the Cavs completed the sweep. I'm not sure he would have made it out of ATL alive after taking Korver out like that, ha.

    This game tho :eyes:

Hawks probably have the best shot of anyone beating the Cavs in the East

    Lebron is already 11th all-time scoring...holy shit.

He's terrifying when he really wants to be, but being 11th all-time at age 31 is bonkers.

I actually like the Cavs against the Hawks better than pretty much any Eastern playoff opponent right now. The Cavs just went completely cold in second half tonight. The Hawks are certainly executing better than the 30% FG rate in the first half, but the Cavs are missing point blank layups. I think the Cavs match up best against Atlanta and Charlotte.

I can't even wrap my head around that. I'm not sure what the record is, but I assume, if everything goes right, he has a chance to break it.
