payment plans are very common for multi-day festivals - not an indicator of sales remotely.

How many don't have payment plans initially, have a presale, raise prices 44% the next day, THEN announce a payment plan a week after tickets went on sale? I think this will sell fine eventually & be very well attended, but that's absolutely a direct response to poor ticket sales

I think it's a confluence of things that have all happened very quickly. It's probably safe to assume that, even if ticket sales were "fine" they probably weren't doing the numbers they were hoping for.

And a big part of that is the cost of tickets to several other big shows/festivals announced around that same time. The Blink-182 tour itself, Taylor Swift, and WWY 2023 probably put a dent in their demo.

Had I known that Blink-182 was 100% going to be playing Adjacent and the rest of the line-up aligned with my tastes the way it does? I probably would have waited and shot for Adjacent. But I didn't. So I went with Blink tickets in my own neck of the woods. And, considering that your average person had no idea Adjacent was even a thing before the Blink tour announcement... I'm positive I'm not alone in that.

I just think people are having to make decisions on where to put their money. And if you're invested in a bigger show already, and it's a festival you don't have an attachment toward? I dunno. I can see a lot of people passing, regardless of how good the line-up is.

FWIW too, I noticed that Supernova Ska announced a payment plan for this year too and those tickets are fairly affordable - and they haven't even announced a full line-up yet. It might also just be something festivals will be doing more of in general to try and combat being "another $300-600 credit card charge."

It’s almost like Atlantic City’s very few reasonably priced hotels are a problem?

When both your headliners will be on tour all summer, and the direct support is acts that are not rare at all (and are on like year 2 of their album cycles) it’s tough to move tickets.

Not sure why festivals don’t look to the big 4 (Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lolla, and ACL) for guidance. You must be able to provide some combination top notch level of production, varied multi genre lineup, unique/rare acts, and easy to attend.

I've been getting into Soul Glo recently and I just now realized they are on this lineup. I totally forgot about those hardcore bands hidden at the bottom of the poster!

The more I look at this poster the more I realize how great this lineup is. It's basically what I was hoping Bamboozle was going to be.

Drug Church and Soul Glo are, dead ass, two of the biggest reasons I'm going. The thought of seeing two of my favorite bands in that lane at a giant festival like that with a bunch of bands I LOVE is so tempting.

Just found out there was a thread for this, so now I shall be sharing one of the dumbest moves I've made in hindsight. When early bird tickets sold out so quick, I thought I was a goner, so I panic bought a two day ticket on stubhub. The very next day, I checked it right before I went to bed, and the tickets were cheaper than I bought them for. Now that there are even cheaper ticket options, the tomfoolery of my decision is becoming even more apparent.

This is an incredible lineup, just hoping the ticket is legit.

StubHub is a guaranteed ticket. For future reference tho, when buying a ticket to a festival, unless you absolutely know it’s going to sell out in the first few hours, hold off and purchase closer to the event. You’ll almost always be able to find one below face value.

Absolutely. Since early bird sold out so fast I assumed it was going to be a WWWY-type scenario where the tickets sold out super fast. I'm pretty good at getting tickets for shows but festivals are a whole different ball game. Thank you!

Are we expecting any more bands to be announced, or just what already has?

They said there'll be a few more artists additions. I'm assuming that will be around the same time they announce single day lineups/tickets.
I'm also guessing that Bloc Party will be added as well since they're opening for the Paramore tour.

I heard they were gonna announce a puppet, some wrestling, a poet, a magician, and a sword swallower….oh wait wrong fest I’m sorry.

They did leave a comment saying a few more or something to that extent, but I haven’t heard anything since. I’m not expecting any big acts

I know it's been semi-discussed, but Paramore/Bleachers/Coheed are the headliners for Saturday, and Blink 182/Turnstile/Japanese Breakfast are the headliners for Sunday.

I assume this is based off tour routings/availability?
