Watching the doc now. I watched that MTV launch so many times.

if he really has the blinkumentary he has to put it out…

 

That guy stated numerous times that he does NOT have the blinkumentary. I don't know why people think he does.

 

Pretty sick we just got Urethra Chronicles 3 in 2022

 

I'd be so game for that.

They must have loads of footage somewhere that could be cleaned up and edited. I wish blink would do some re-releases with early takes of the songs on disc 2. Asthenia always sticks in my mind of a song from that documentary that ended up with drastically different lyrics.

 

I mean MTV was filming them for almost a year even if it was just a day or two a week that’s a shit load of footage.

Watched the documentary. People saying it doesn't seem like a documentary forget what BTS band videos used to be like before the age of youtube and content creation. This was so rad. I do miss the way they would play untitled albums live before the reunion. Hearing them tinkering with always was really cool. Hope Mark watches with commentary. I also hope this motivates them to let the Blinkumentary see the light of day ( unlikely, but that would be cool)

Best Parts:

-Seeing the live moments from all of the legendary untitled photos
- Soundchecks and in-between moments on tour
-Seeing each member changing from the untitled era to the whisper /+44 era. It was nuts to see Tom in that Macbeth shirt with the lion and longer hair knowing what comes just a year or less later
-Knowing how it all ends and hearing their tired optimism for the next album.

 

Would have been interesting to see the reaction this DVD would have gotten if it was released in 2005.

That was a nice watch. Sad hearing them talk about what comes next when we all know what would happen a year later

 

Loving Travis even more after watching this. It was cool hearing his story about working after touring to ground himself (~24 mins)

 

I honest remember hearing them on a radio show talking about how they were just rehearsing / working on a new song around the 2004 mark. I’ve tried to find it a few times since then to no avail.

 

Hoping Blink is less precious about everything over time. Drop songs without any lead-up, let us see the BTS docs, and give us the archive of songs, demos, rough ideas. I get why this doc and the blinkumentary didn't see the light of day when it was completed but it's all a part of the long and winding history now. Also, why not capitalize on the world being on fire for blink again?

 

Yeah, I know. It felt terrible listening to them all complain about missing their families since we know that ended up being a point of contention for them. I've heard other bands talk about how monotonous touring is because you don't get to see the cities you visit and just end up waiting around all day everyday.

It's also crazy that they had multiple documentaries filmed about themselves that got shelved. I wish someone would just leak the blinkumentary. haha.

 

Goddamn I love it when a blink single does well. Super great start for the next album. Now they just gotta capitalize with a strong second single and release date.

 

Not sure if this counts as a mandela effect but: you could first hear After Midnight on a website specifically put up foe that song, right? And i remember that mark's melody in the chorus there was slightly different from the album/music video version..

 

They had websites for Hearts All Gone and After Midnight.

HAG you had to find hidden text on the site itself, After Midnight was a game where you had to stop the numbers exactly at "182"

I really hope we get some cool fun stuff like that for this new album. The marketing has been excellent so far.

 

Forgot about that! Didn't each part unlock the guitar, drums, and vocals? I think the presave and socials drive hype now, but those were cool.
