How gnarly is the violence in Terrifier 2? Thread has me morbidly curious

 

It is not as of right now! It's the WNUF Sequel from this year. It's $20 online for a DVD copy I believe, might be a cheaper digital option or someone in here might have added it to their Plex?

I’m so dumb. This entire day I’ve been thinking Joe Keery is some sort of MAGA turd lmao. I haven’t been able to investigate until now and I’m like oh yea…Dashcam is NOT Spree.

 

In other news…Halloween II is just as good to Halloween as Scream 2 is to Scream. Just saying.

 

I mean, Jason vs Freddy will always hold a special place in my heart and probably will remain my favorite out of every Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The 13th movie…

but..

Dream Warriors and Dream Master still hold up. Dream Master is probably my favorite of the NOES franchise.

 

My take on Dashcam is, the director and lead actress are dumb as hell, he inadvertently Channel 5'd her which kinda rules, they made a competent found footage movie with great effects that also happened to be really loud and obnoxious. Had to turn off the credits immediately because I couldn't do the rapping anymore. Not as bad as Halloween Ends, but I wouldn't recommend it!

 

I know we have a lot of Nightmare fans in here… I absolutely love the first one and New Nightmare, but I don’t see a lot of love for the latter in here. Do the NOES diehards not like New Nightmare?

 

Ive always appreciated it. But I also always forget about it. It’s definitely the one I’ve seen the least.

 

I think most NOES fans (both in here and not) love it. I'm in the minority though lol

I ask because I feel like I see more discussion around Dream Warriors and Dream Master, neither of which ever connected with me, but I should probably give them another go based on what I’ve read here.

 

At least Dream Warriors. That movie rocks. But I'm not the biggest Nightmare fan tbf

 

Probably have said this before but remember watching New Nightmare when I was little and being so fucking confused since it’s so meta and my acorn child brain couldn’t process / follow along lol

Haha yea.. New Nightmare was actually the first film I’d ever seen from the franchise.. which most likely molded my love for Scream, but I remember not understanding the meta shit as well.

Halloween 4 is the closest to recreating the atmosphere of the first film IMHO. So good. Halloween 5 is a tough watch lol
