Mwahaha my fiance hates Paramore but I got This Is Why stuck in her head enough where she's been playing it on her own without me asking

She really only likes this song, All I Wanted, and a couple Riot songs

 

This should be a deal breaker tbh lol

 

I literally didn't know it was possible to hate Paramore, they're like the most unproblematic, talented, and universally beloved band in the scene.

 

Haha yeah I don't get it either, but that doesn't stop me from playing them non-stop around her .

 

I could get not liking Hayley's voice even if they're wrong

 

She has the voice of an angel

Uk tour announcement tomorrow

 

Apparently there's a presale going out today for people who preordered the album through the UK site. Feeling like a real dummy that I didn't know there was a UK site so I preordered through the US

 

UK Tour is April 2023. Rumour is Bloc Party supporting.

 

That would just be too funny for me in the light of some of the conversations here early on that went "Paramore shouldn't even talk about Bloc Party, that's a band on a totally different level" haha (paraphrasing of course). Wish them all the best!

Has a band ever said, "we were really influenced by *insert band name here* while writing this album" and then had that band open up for them during that album cycle? Pretty wild development.

 

Fuck it, preordered again through the UK store, gonna cancel my other order. They're a bucket list band, I want in on that presale.

Well, they're definitely something else haha - they said they were influenced by mewithoutYou and had them on tour, sang on each other's albums. They said they were influenced by Underoath and got Aaron to drum for them, and so on.

But it's all not that big of a stretch within the scene etc., would be different if Hayley got Radiohead or Bjork to open for her after she had released her solo album ;u highly doubt that it would pan out like that, the closest thing that comes to my mind right now is seeing Michelle from Japanese Breakfast on press photos for Rolling Stone with Karen O from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, after writing about the meaning of YYY in her book and opening for them on their latest release shows.

 

This tour happening better means people could see Hayley pop up on a Bloc Party song live or vice versa... or hear me out, what about a feature on the album? Oh the possibilities, let me dream!

 

I just imagined Hayley and Kele duetting on "This Modern Love" and I think it was the greatest thing ever

 

I might have to go to the UK in April

 

Ooof, am out of the country for those UK dates, gutted! Gunna be one awesome show
