Imagine how good An Endless Summer on Tom's demos album could have been with input from Mark and Travis. I still really dig it as a Tom demo tho.

 

They should play this more. It goes over live and sounds great! (Apart from the weird AVA effect on Tom's guitar).

I was going to say the biggest obstacle to playing the Matt era songs is Tom's voice

I wouldn't be surprised if they ended playing every single joke on this tour. Even "Just About Done".

 

Alien’s Exist simply has to be a set staple with Tom back lol … I was glad to hear it on the EOTS anniversary tour but would love it with Tom.

Its up to the band. Lots of bands don't play their most well known songs, for a variety of reasons.

 

I remember seeing MGMT at Firefly Festival and they didn't play Kids haha

But yeah I assume Blink plays BTD on this tour

 

This barely happened and now they’re playing it again lol

 

The one time I saw AFI, they didn't play Days of the Phoenix and I was pretty bummed.

 

I hope not. I kind of don’t mind the joke songs on albums (only kind of), but live I feel like they’re wasted time. Cut out the 3-4 joke songs they play live and you can fit 1-2 actual songs on the set

 

I’ve seen counting crows multiple times without playing mr jones

 

I feel like I remember reading that Dave Matthews Band sometimes don't play all the hits too.

With all the excitement of Tom being back, I don't think the majority of fans would really even "blink" if they only played songs that Tom helped write.

Totally different case, BTD is only like 6 years old, they'll definitely aim to honor that era with at least one song. With MB it was a conversation on the lyrics, and well, they didn't want to play it, but during that period of time they actually barely played any shows, now returning to the stage along with the song again too, it's actually more mediatalk than "the band not playing their biggest hit", which actually is a scenario for a lot of bands just getting sick with old tunes etc., see Radiohead and Creep (also another totally different case)

 

Paramore is also playing MB on tour every single night again
