Huge fan of Corpses and Rejects. Everything after was kind of meh for me. I'd honestly rank his releases in order they came out in, but moving H2 to last.

Maybe I’ll watch Zombies Halloween tonight. I tend to stay away from it because it’s just so damn mean. Then again…I loved Scout’s performance.

He gives a classic, “awlryte,” when Sawa subs him out at the drive thru.

  9. Shit gets pretty wild in the second half, I think I actually kind of like it. More weird than scary, though

Was on vacation for a chunk of October and working way too much but I've managed to keep up tradition of a movie a day.

    so far I've chugged through:

    House of 1000 Corpses
    The Devils Rejects
    The Last Matinee
All the Colors of The Dark
    House of Wax
    Evil Dead (2013)
    Drag Me To Hell
    Jennifer's Body
    Carpenter's Vampires
    Halloween Kills
    Werewolf by Night
    Halloween Ends
    Hellraiser
Friday the 13th: A New Beginning
    Jason Lives
    The New Blood
    Terrified
    Hellraiser II
    Jason Takes Manhattan

gonna finish up the last few F13 films and then not sure what I'm gonna plan for the rest of October. Other than trying to catch Terrifier 2 at my local Alamo Drafthouse.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Tom Atkins is horniness, he can't exist in any other state

Okay I actually really liked Hellraiser (2022) despite going in pessimistic. A little hokey seeing Cenobites standing around aimlessly at times, but I really like this film. Felt like it fits comfortably in with its predecessors.

  16. So, I got my tickets for the Screening Room showings of X and Pearl tonight. I've seen X twice, although I was a little drunk the second time. My question is: if I plan on watching both, should I watch them in order? Reverse order? Any suggestions? Was considering not watching X a third time, but it feels like a waste of money not to lol.

I saw X twice before seeing Pearl so I cannot speak to watching them in reverse order but I will reiterate that watching Pearl right after X was a great experience and it retroactively made me appreciate X much more.

Watched Sissy last night and mostly enjoyed it. We both thought it needed about 10-15 minutes trimmed down.

  20. Got nervous when I saw VHS99 only has an average rating of 3.0 on Letterboxd, then saw that VHS94 is sitting at a 2.9 and that movie rips lol. Excited to watch it this weekend

What is Screening Room? Does this mean I too could theoretically watch Pearl tonight too?

Hoping Pearl comes on VOD next week. Would be perfect to combine with Barbarian for an awesome night of horror.

Pearl: "The film will be released on VOD on October 25, 2022, and on Blu-ray on November 15, 2022."
Not sure if VOD = $6.99 rent or $19.99 buy/rent. Likely the latter.
