Looks like Two Dreams is literally just going to be the same tracklist from the first EP followed by the same tracklist from the second EP. Was hoping they’d do a different sequencing for this release.

I know at first glance it looks like it’s different, but if you look closely they have each song listed by which track number it is

 

Welp, Tid The Season 2021 was my last ETID and Circa show for a while I guess

 

relistening to the album (or currently, both EPs back to back). what a fantastic body of work. Even Better is immaculate.

Even Better is still one of my absolute favorite songs they’ve ever done. That one, Late Nap, Imposter Syndrome, Curitiba, Buzzhenge, and Drift are the highlights for me across the album

 

Anybody find where to get the standard vinyl?

 

I thought it was odd too because Polyphia is doing the exact same thing with their album in very similar font. Both are on Rise, so I guess that plays a big part.

 

I already had these together as a playlist and it works great as an album

wow listening to Medicine and Poison on that live recording - Ant switched from chest or mixed voice into full on head voice and falsetto for all that and the results were …something. i wonder if he feels he cant perform a full set of that stuff anymore the way he used to - no one can really do what he did and im sure no one could do it forever, crazy to think even BSN was 12 years ago. i wonder if thats why hes fully leaned into being snarly and shouty now - i love that stuff too. just an observation. hes the one artist i will always listen to everything he ever does.

 

i do wonder if the cancellation of the BSN tour and some of the tension around the hiatus of the band is because of the current state of Anthony's voice. he sounded good on the BSN livestream, but maintaining that during an entire tour would be pretty difficult, and BSN has some of his most intense vocals. it seemed like he was doing a mixed voice before but now has had to go full falsetto for the really high parts. i love Anthony so much but it seems like his voice is damaged, it's not just "aging". i know there's a lot of other reasons for the band's hiatus, but i feel like this could be a factor too?

not trying to be harsh or do too much speculating here, but it's just hard to see him and the band going through all of this.

 

I mean, Anthony literally came out and told us why the BSN tour was cancelled so I’m not sure why there’s need to speculate about it further lol

 

The L.S Dunes record has some of his highest vocal parts in a long time, however he uses a lot of break up to get up there, every once in a while tho there’s a really high clean part that makes me think he just doesn’t do it live to preserve it.

 

i think he can still hit high notes too but hes now performing and writing alot more conservatively in that regard to the point where he has radically shifted his approach

iirc he was still 100% going for it on the J and OLG 10 yr reunion tours. geez those feel like they were just yesterday but they were 5 and 7 yrs ago. fuck. not sure if he could do it anymore or at least hes evidently actively choosing not to.

 

did he? i'm not trying to be insensitive at all but i thought it was more vaguely described as a "mental health crisis" without any further details. i feel like an artist being unable to perform would definitely contribute to that.

 

youve heard the whole album?

 

I did notice in the live set how Get Out was performed a full step below. I'd never heard it that way and honestly thought it sounded better vocally.
