We reach for the longest shadow

Does that album hold up? My memories make me think it was a huge product of the late 2000s and I wouldn’t like it much anymore.

  4. In my opinion no it does not whatsoever. Gave it a listen for the first time in over a decade after people were comparing the first single from the last oso oso album to Forgive Dryden and it was quite bad!

Yea I did a re-listen, not loving it as much as I remember…

I’d rather they had pressed the debut instead, holds up wayyyyyyy better…

Yeah I'll probably give it a go as well before considering. Figured I'd still put it out there for anyone who'd want it.

    Outcast Tape Infirmary

I remember a ton of hype for it because of all the guest vocalists, but the album was super underwhelming when it actually came out.

We reach for the longest shadow

I liked it a good bit when it came out, but I was also like... 16. The guest spots still hold up for the most part, except a couple that we've learned some unsavory things about

I still love Razia's Shadow! I'm also a big fan of musical theater, so it fits right in my wheelhouse. Will absolutely be getting it if/when it's finally pressed on vinyl.

i saw them perform Razia's Shadow live and there were maybe like 60 people there to see them, it was kind of sad. Wonderland is a much better album

We reach for the longest shadow

I appreciate the ambition, but even reading the wiki page that describes the story, it's definitely pretty surface level.

    fall away Supporter

It was a fun experiment back when it came out but has no replay value IMO, even back when it first released. the songs and the story feel gimmicky compared to Wonderland

  14. Lmao I'm reading the wiki page now and it's pretty clearly Tolkien: The Musical, the whole lamps thing is straight out of the silmarillion just instead of trees/jewels

Yeah I'm on the fence with Razia's Shadow...

    HOWEVER....!

I am not on the fence about the next Parting Gift Records tease!!

I'm going with BNO "self titled" from the colours. My second guess and it being a longshot would be NFG "Catalyst". Both have never been pressed on vinyl and they did just drop other albums from both groups.

Countdown I think is for Thursday 11am?

I don't have IG as my buddy sent me the screenshot.

I want it to be Catalyst so bad. But I also dont want it to be Catalyst because tours/vinyl has been draining my money this month.
