I saw the Blair Witch Project the first time when I was in 5th grade and it was terrifying. I think it might still be pretty effective for me, I still think the ending is pretty disturbing

The grocery store scene and movie theater scene in Messiah of Evil are so damn cool.

I agree, Friday the 13th part 2 is a comfy horror movie if those are a thing.

It just goes to show that when they make Halloween films they need to keep the story simple. 1978 and 2018 are the best received critically and arguably by the fans as well. Keep. It. Simple. That’s what makes Michael Myers such a creepy killer. No motive. No stupid cult. No relatives. No copycat killers. Just pure evil.

i really think they could've just stopped with 1978 and it would've been fine, but it made too much money and the franchise kept making more money so it's gogogo. the same with every slasher franchise, really.

Rewatched Evil Dead 2013 last night. I remember enjoying it att but I felt like this thread liked it more than I. Though maybe I wasn’t in the right headspace or was distracted when I first watched it cuz wow. Absolutely loved it last night and man some of those kills are gnarly. Love what they did with the call backs and nods to the original too. Would love a sequel!

Halloween 2 is one of the best horror sequels and Evil Dead 2013 is one of my favorite remakes. The bloody ending was nuts.

Does anyone like haunted houses? I’ve gone to Erebus in Pontiac, but this one looks cool.

  20. I haven't seen any Halloween, F13, NOES. Only saw the Chucky remake for Aubrey Plaza, and of course recently saw the remakes of Evil Dead and Hellraiser. Not big on non-superhero film franchises, I guess.
