An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

it is nowhere near as bad as any of those lol. I can already tell people are gonna make hating it their personality for a while (I get it, I was the same after Kills)

It's absolutely better than RZ's H2, 5 & 6, but as Aaron knows, at least Resurrection had Busta Rhymes doing Kung-fu

I'm just still kind of dumbfounded. I truly thought I was prepared for anything and would like what they gave, especially after loving Kills so much more on my last watch. It's not a terrible movie, but it's barely a Halloween movie. I was fully aware and onboard with the premise and still think there's a way to make it work, but it fell really flat for me.

Still way better than the Zombies.

  4. Misery was good. Not my favorite Stephen King story, but Rob Reiner and Kathy Bates made a great team.

    i dislike halloween after 3.

  6. The only reactions that matter are in: Paul Rust says it's his favorite of the three, and Matt Gourley says he likes it better than Kills

  10. I will say, my friend who I ranked Halloween movies with and whose only discrepancy with my ranking was my H20 placement also gave Ends four stars on Letterboxd, so I'm feeling very cautiously optimistic. And also just excited to watch a new Halloween movie with friends tonight

I just finished all 5 Scream + scary movie Gourley and Rust episodes. I LOVE this podcast, but my god Gourleys takes on Scream offends the shit out of me lmao. I still love him.

i love both of them but just don’t have time to keep up with another podcast, especially one that I need to watch a movie with.

  23. Watched Blair Witch Project for the first time. I think I was expecting too much out of it, maybe a little overhyped for a cult classic or whatever. idk if it holds up, I'm sure it was terrifying and mindblowing at the time, I wish I'd seen it sooner. I kinda felt the same way about The Exorcist. Old movies can still be scary and timeless, like Jaws or The Shining; this just didn't do it for me. I commend it for being scary through its atmosphere without actually showing anything, but like, it didn't actually show anything. I don't watch horror just to be scared, I watch horror because I want to see wild shit happen. I did really like Heather's performance, technically she was "behind the camera" most of the time but her line delivery was spot on. And of course the film's influence/legacy within the found footage horror subgenre is undeniable. I love Cloverfield and Chronicle.

  24. I still love The Blair Witch Project (almost as more of a psychological thriller than straight-up horror), but idk if that's a hot take

Halloween Ends was a mess. I like they took some chances, but it fell flat.
