This Lorna Shore album is weird for me, every song has parts I love but I just do not care for the pig squeals and deathcore breakdowns anymore. The more melodic moments are really cool though.

 

I'd have guessed Erra.

ERRA would be close, but I think I listen to Power Trip more, and I had way more fun at their show

 

But there's not too many other metal bands I'd say I regularly listen to in any capacity at the moment. Parkway Drive used to be that band, but their last two albums have totally tanked my interest in them. It just feels new metal releases from big names are few and far between, compared to other genres of music

Yeah, if I were to pick a my favorite band ever it would have to be something along the lines of Cave In, Converge, Isis or Dillinger Escape Plan.

Old school: Judas Priest

Hardcore: Earth Crisis

 

Mine would be Deftones, Converge, or He Is Legend. Mastodon is getting up there as I'm revisiting their discography for the second year in a row and realizing how much their music is everything I've been looking for in a band.

That's still open to change as I very slowly keep broadening my metal tastes.

 

Deftones/ISIS/Spitfire for me.

 

Spitfire is a name I haven't heard in years. Great band.

 

Hard to top Self-Help and Cult Fiction in that genre, for me.

CREED Is In No Rush To Take You Higher Once Again

 

Top three for me would have to be Old Man Gloom, High On Fire, and Cult of Luna.

 

Darkest Hour

 

I don't even know who my favorite metal band would be, tbh. From age 10 to about 30 I would have said Metallica without thinking twice, and they'd probably still be my (nostalgic) answer, but I haven't really listened to them in forever, and of course half of the catalog is whatever, Lars is garbage now, etc...

Sepultura (with Max), ETID, Mastodon, Deftones, Thrice (if that's even metal) would be all be up there.

Of current bands, Frozen Soul, Undeath and Enforced are probably my favorites.

 

Another damn good choice

 

My favorite hardcore band would definitely be Hatebreed
