What is everyone's actual favorite metal band? I think I'd have to say Nile. I didn't latch on to them early and I've only seen them maybe 3 times. I honestly can't remember the last time I listened to them. BUT they have a stacked discography and I've loved pretty much everything they've ever released. Plus the lead dude is essentially just a nerd who is hella deep into Egyptology.

 

i genuinely don't know if i can answer that. morbid angel maybe? i met my best friend through immortal so they have to be up there. that's tough, man.

 

Never really been able to nail down a single favorite because I feel like my taste is all over the place, but I saw Inter Arma open for Baroness in an alley in 2007/2008 and was blown away. 15 years later and I'm still impressed by everything they put out, so they're usually my first thought when the question comes up.

I do continue to return to my favorite tracks from Cave In’s newest. Really, really great album.

I could probably take more time to consider, but if I’m basing it on time spent listening, band growth, consistency, artistic approach and live performances, Converge takes it.

Not considering consistency or band growth, I could probably say ETID, Poison The Well, BTBAM, or Shai Hulud depending on the day.

 

Deftones are my favorite band in general but metal I would say Cave In or Mastodon
