Just finished Video Violence and it was pretty great. What other SOV do I need to check out?

 

They must’ve just added Evil Dead remake to Hulu it’s up there and I swear I just searched for it the other day. Also Willys Wonderland and Super Dark Times are on there. Are those worth checking out??

 

Super Dark Times leans heavier into drama than thriller imo but I do remember enjoying it. A very bleak vibe with great performances

 

Willy's Wonderland is definitely worth checking out, lots of fun.

 

Yup Evil Dead remake I watched on Hulu

Hellraiser remake I didn't find too sadistic but yeah idk if I'd watch again

 

Yeah Hellraiser was too boring for a movie where they rip multiple people apart. Never felt any of the stakes, it was just weird and painful for no reason, not a fun one.

 

Has anyone watched the Midnight Club? As someone who doesn’t like Flanagan’s television work, I don’t know if I want to waste my time. I just loved Pike books growing up.

Putting together a Halloween marathon for friends on Saturday. Took Paul Rust's idea and going not scary to scariest. I have friends that aren't really into horror so keeping it very light, also trying to make each pick Halloween themed, I think this is the final list:

1. Tower of Terror
2. Under Wraps (1997)
3. Hocus Pocus
4. Boy Meets World - And Then There Was Shawn (I know this is technically not a Halloween episode)
5. The Midnight Hour
6. WNUF Halloween Special
7. Family Matters - Stevil
8. Hack-O-Lantern
9. Trick 'r Treat
10. Night of the Demons

Debating whether to keep the shows on and kinda want to replace Hocus Pocus since I'm already going to watch it a bunch but my girlfriend will get mad.

 

I wouldn't say it's boring but yeah it felt like it was missing something, like I wasn't emotionally invested as much as I should've been

 

My partner who I’ve only been with 5 months informed me at the end of Sept. she wasn’t a Halloween person before, but wanted to get into spooky szn with me since I’m an avid horror and Halloween fan. It’s been a real treat introducing her to a wide spectrum of horror movies the past two weeks, and doing haunted attractions where she almost dislocated my shoulder.

We did Doctor Sleep last night, which was a 10/10 watch and I know that movie is as good as I thought because she was completely enthralled throughout and wanted to rewatch the Shining because of it.

Dahmer

She took Evil Dead as our second watch much better than anticipated. Actually thought The Faculty was “grosser.”

 

I really enjoy Halloween (2018) and absolutely despise Halloween Kills. Still debating if I’m going to see the third in theaters this weekend.

 

I'm watching The Descent for the first time, and i am going in completely cold. Like i have no idea what this movie is about besides something to do with scary caves.
