Realistically, though, how much of the dumb crap Blink used to say on stage would get them immediately canceled today? Probably better to say less, especially if you're a younger band and don't have a filter.

It would hardly come as a surprise, and excuse me if it has been said already, but if you check out the source code of their official site one line goes as follows:

... which could imply Hard At Work is indeed the album title.

 

I hate how stressful buying tickets is. You really have to get into a state of panic and mix in a lot of luck to get the seats you want.

 

Yeah, it was never okay, but as a dumb high schooler who laughed at all of it, it's insane just how "okay" it felt during the time.

 

I got burned by Ticketmaster last year when I bought Tyler the Creator & Vince Staples tickets. I paid for VIP/Premium seats the day they went on sale because I just wanted good seats. This was in like August 2021 for a show in early March 2022.

When the show came around I couldn't even sell my extra ticket for face value (the show was in Worcester, MA) and the kids in the row right behind me at the show told me they paid $75 a piece per ticket, which was way less than I paid for my VIP tickets...

How do I avoid this happening again with blink? It seems like TM/LN punishes fans who try to buy tix right when they go on sale.

 

Based on all the caution tape and yellow/black design work, I would bet the farm the album is called Hard At Work

 

i like that Hard At Work is a joke title Tom has loved so much and been gunning for since like 2010. truly the biggest W for him in all of this.

 

Yeah. It's bullshit. A similar, but far less expensive example happened to me with Jimmy Eat World. I ended up buying a second set of cheaper tickets for much better seats.

 

As long as they clean it up and don’t pretend what they said was 100% okay they are fine. Just don’t go 100% on the defense like ATL.

Blink’s banter wont be any different than the stuff they said during the last reunion tour. They don’t go as far as they did on the Mark Tom and Travis Show album.

 

I need the job to buy the tickets tomorrow! Maybe in May

 

Some other thoughts:

1. If they are ever getting into the Rock Hall of Fame, now is the time.

2. Now that we have the OG lineup back together, maybe finally deluxe editions of old albums with bonus tracks & any unreleased stuff?

Once the first reunion happened, I think it took some of the 'what-if' out of the wait, if that makes sense. We heard what an Untitled follow-up album would sound like and saw how a tour would pan out.

Without that 'what-if' lingering as heavily, time has moved faster as a blink-182 fan, at least for me.

Just avoid the platinum tickets. Most tickets are a fixed price on ticketmaster/livenation but if it's platinum that means they're pricing it based on demand so you're way more likely to pay a lot now when everyone is looking at tickets at once than you will later on when the dust settles.
