Puppet Master was fun! Reminded me Dolls but not as good. Weird and whimsical with some kinda gross fucked up parts.

Doing Deadstream tonight!

 

Tried watching Sissy and it seemed pretty good but I was having a lot of trouble focusing for some reason. Watched 30 minutes of that, and then about a minute of Evil Ed, and then 30 seconds of HauntedWeen until I decided my brain just can't do a movie tonight. It sucks.

 

Shudder fuckin sucks man. I went to watch Deadstream and I guess I have to subscribe through the app as opposed to through Prime to get it the day of. Has the app gotten any better? It was buggy as hell last year

 

I’ve been feeling like that a lot, just zoning out a ton on whatever ive been watching


I did (half) watch Halloween Night from 2006 and it was a perfect shitty 00s Blockbuster flick. Just dumb offensive characters and pretty bad kills set at a Halloween party

 

About halfway through. I like the general idea for the sequel so far and there's some good stuff in there but it's interspersed with some pretty absurd shit, and not the good kind. Like, wtf was that deer scene? And the floating water. Unnecessary waste of money on cgi

and yeah I keep getting distracted and losing focus

 

Ended up in the ER last night so I’m using tonight to just watch movies as I have extra days off work now.

Going with Deadstream and Phantasm.

 

Yeah I caved to do Deadstream tonight.

 

Hate when this happens. Some nights I can do three movies in a row, other nights I just strike out (even if it's something I'd normally enjoy).

Also what's the deal with Terrifier 2? Isn't it on some obscure app? Is that out today?

Wow Deadstream was fun

 

I like where they took the story and Naomi Watts did her best to carry the movie but some of the stylistic choices make this a bit of a chore to get through. A lot of the dialogue feels awkward, the music is often overbearing, and the vfx feel out of place. It's like there's a good movie in there somewhere but it just didn't fall into the right hands, which is weird to say because it was directed by the same person who did Ringu and two of its sequels. You'd think the director of the original could make a decent sequel. Apparently the Japanese sequels weren't well-received, either.

 

Haven't seen Ring 2 since theaters, all I remember is bad CGI deer.

 

I have had almost no issues with the app (personally). I have it downloaded on 3 different tv's and it is reliable on all of them. I say almost because it does not seem to jive as well with a FireTV and it will sometimes lock up and I will have to restart the app. Other than that, it has been great.

 

Still thinking about the end of Smile, really great execution in an otherwise pretty standard movie.

 

Agreed fully. They got pretty bold there at the end. The entity ripping its face off and then starting to swallow Rose was effective and badass
