Cynical might be my favorite blink song since Tom left the first time

 

Cynical is great. One of the best songs post-Tom era.

 

I listened to California all the way through last night for the first time in years... Still a ridiculously fun album all the way through. It also just brings me back to the day it leaked. I was finally at a really good place in life and left for a family vacation the next day so I basically listened to it all week on the beach. I'll forever have those positive memories associated with that album which is pretty cool. Pretty much the exact opposite of Neighborhoods, I-Empire, WYHSB, etc. haha.

 

Always really liked Hungover you.. don’t know if that’s a popular take

 

I think the only song i’m not fond of on Nine is Ransom

 

The First Time, Happy Days, and Remember To Forget Me are the songs I like least on Nine. I pretty much love everything else on it though.

 

assuuuuuuming Tom is back, it'd be cool if they re-worked that "new" Box Car Racer song into Blink.

 

Remember To Forget Me is a perfect closer. You kind of have five single type songs to start the album and from there it's pretty much as cohesive as it can get

 

Man Overboard is pretty my favorite Blink song. Has all the of their best elements: unique bassline, multiple melodic hooks, bouncy style with dark lyrics without any of the dumb humor. Just works.

 

It'd probably stick out like a sore thumb in a bad way. And I say that even though I'd probably like Tom's writing on it better than anything he does fresh lol

 

Mark's outro on Man Overboard is peak blink

 

Y'all got anymore of those blink tour nuggets...

 

Would've been a top reunion song if they traded the vocals on the recording like do when they sing it live.

Why that wasn't a single is downright baffling. It's a nearly perfect Blink-182 song.

For me if you cut Hungover You, Runaway and Happy Days, Nine would flow so much better.
Not only are those forgettable songs IMO, but I find albums longer than 12 tracks to feel a bit dragged out.

 

Would AVA and Alkaline Trio tour with Blink?

Figured Id ask.

 

I don't think any of the singer's lungs could handle it. Transplants reunion shows is another story though.

 

I actually think it would be seriously cool if Alkaline Trio toured with Blink and Matt stayed on stage until the end, but that's a pipe dream. He would pass out lol.
