Tom would basically have to talk-sing his way through that chorus. I don't think Mark can manage to hit those notes live each night (or even once, probably).

 

Tom strikes me as a John Frusciante type in that he probably hasn't listened to those two albums and/or will refuse to play those songs.

 

I vaguely remember him having an off-handed comment about not being into cowrites and producers writing hits for bands. They rarely play songs off of Neighborhoods besides Up All Night. I don't really think the vast majority of people who come to Blink shows follow much of their stuff after Untitled aside from hearing whatever single was pushed. It is cool how much of California stayed on the setlist through this era of Blink, but I doubt much will stay. I am bored (to death) of the greatest hits setlist but people go nuts for it. I want new music with spirit and mutual excitement from all the members more than tons of tours. That doesn't make boatloads of cash though.

 

The irony though is that for Angels & Airwaves last album Tom had a producer who also had co-writing credits on all the songs.

 

Helped him make his best album in years! Should embrace that energy.

 

Don't know if anyone else was around during these times, but Ilan used to be an AOL blink chat room regular way back when.

 

Maybe Illan leaked the chorus posts on Reddit!

Anything to get all the members in one room and motivated to make rad music is good with me.

I guess Tom just remembers when Jerry Finn used to sit in the producer’s chair and press buttons and not help with lyrics, etc.

 

Well with David Kennedy having leaked the first reunion, it'd make sense for Ilan to play a role in breaking the news this time.

Easy Target & All Of This.

Immediate favourites when I first heard the record back in 2003, and at the very least, Easy Target should be a mainstay in their sets.

God I really do love "Easy Target."

 

I loved hearing that song back in the Untitled days, especially how they transitioned from "Feeling This" to "Easy Target".

 

yup. Seeing that transition live was a game changer for me and it made me fall in love with that song.

 

I’m quite confident in saying that Stockholm Syndrome is my blink song.

 

When thinking of my Top-5 blink songs, all of mine are from before the first breakup. Does anybody have any that came after the reunion? Top-10 maybe?
