So while I was without a computer, and internet, and power, to pass the time, I turned to my plucky Switch and started playing some games there. Switched between Famicom Detective Club, Golf Story, and Goblin Sword.

Now that I have my computer back, I'm uncertain if I want to continue with my Daedelic run, or continue with those games.

There's also a third option. Dragalia Lost on mobile is closing shop at the end of November, and I kind of want to play it through if I can before it goes away.

So I might end up doing that. I'll figure it out.

Why? I tried Dragalia once before and rather liked it, I just let it get away from me for like... a year.

  7. Fucking love Prey. Feels a lot more like a metroidvania/open world than the Dishonored games. Great gameplay and map design, as expected from Arkane, but also great quests and characters. You play as an Asian character and there's another Asian character who's in a gay relationship.

weirdest fucking game I’ve ever played but is quite fun

  10. I was an early backer for Marauders years ago. I cannot hype that game up enough.

It is a “Tarkov clone” that is set in space with ships and space stations for you to loot. A little easier barrier to entry but you must survive the raid to keep your things. Death = lose everything you picked up + entered with.

I’ve been playing the last two years through play tests and I can’t recommend that enough to everyone to checkout.

Been playing Tinykin and I think it might be my favourite non-Mario platformer since Banjo Tooie. All those Yooka Laylee reviews that were like 'maybe this genre is just bad' can eat their words.

Tinykin is fantastic. Such a cute and heartwarming game. The story is nothing to write home about but the gameplay is great.

The gamble is paying off for sure. It's like a boulder rolling downhill and picking up steam. It keeps getting better and better.

Yooka-Laylee was a fun game, and those reviewers can go kick cans down the sidewalk.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair was a lot of fun (albeit a collect-a-thon but aren't all platformers?!)
    The final boss tho...

Honestly, I really didn't like either Yooka game. Collectathons are basically my favourite genre so I was dying for a good one and they made some truly baffling decisions in a few parts of the game.

I started the 2D one and enjoyed it for the most part. I need to get back to it.

Hmm. I don't think the first game is by any means perfect, and I definitely had criticisms, but I don't know about baffling decisions.

I also finished the game before they patched it, so I don't know if my criticisms are even valid now.

What issues did you have with it?

I thought it was enjoyable. I don't know if I would have pay full price for it but it's a fun platformer/puzzle game. The graphics are great.
