Finally listened to the new album today and thought it was pretty good. Very reserved, but still some very tasteful moments

Tourmaline and Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazon have grown a lot on me this week

 

Very sad they have to say that but people suck

 

People act like Cedric is an asshole but the comments on his posts are batshit sometimes.

Also the new album is starting to grow on me like crazy

 

The few live videos I've seen from the show sound incredible and I'm so envious of anyone who's catching their tour. I feel dumb for doubting Cedric's capabilities as he's singing his ass off there.

They were great last night. So glad I got to see them. Wasn’t sure if I ever would.

 

Last night's Philly show was possibly the best concert I've ever attended. And I've seen them all, atleast 150 shows. Can't wait to witness them again in NYC tomorrow

Gonna echo this statement for D.C.

Randomly decided I was going to try shrooms right before Teri came on (amazing act in her own right) and then Volta blew my mind. Band sounded better than ever in my opinion

 

I caught Teri's set twice last week and it was pretty good. She was more on at the Philly show, but not bad. Certainly not something you could really describe.
To be honest, both Mars Volta shows last week were the first shows in over a decade that I witnessed 100% sober. I tend to always drink during concerts, but have made a health conscious decision to take a few months off from the drinking. Not that Im an alcoholic as I only really drink one day a week lol. But a sober concert was still super enjoyable, possibly even more. Kuds to the shrooms. Havent had the balls to do that in almost 20 years.

 

Not surprised, but this has become my go-to nighttime album.

 

Just got around to listening to this, Cerulea is freaking gorgeous, can't get over it.
